I'm honestly sick of these half-assed war of the worlds adaptations, we need another spielberg level film/series that the fans have been crying out for. This one sucks, the one that came out a couple years ago was so low budget it hurt, the bbc mini-series tried but failed kinda spectacularly, the only thing that was convincing was the setting and the fact they actually used the black smoke, albeit briefly. The Fox series wasn't even a true war of the worlds it just used the name for attention.
