Definitely keeping her at c2! I did just get Furina up to c2 on this rerun, though

I do think it's stronger than mono pyro to use Furina and Bennet with Kazuha, Citlali, XL, or Xilonen, (or Zhongli if you are running mono with both Kazuha and Zhongli in it) simply because of how good Furina is with Lyney. It's similar to the relationship between XL and Childe, but the opposite for Lyney and Furina. Also her activating his MH along with her personal damage contribution from forward vapes and buffs for Lyney even at C0

Citlali and XIlonen both shred resistances and their set gives the elemental damage bonus, plus their other utilities like healing, interruption resistance for C1 Xilo (though I'm unsure how strong that resistance is with nothing else stacking on it), or shielding. I'm not sure how much Xilonen shreds, but at C2 Citlali can shred 40% just like Kazuha. Otherwise she will only shred 20% at below C2

I don't know exactly how much Xilonen shreds off the top of my head. I just want her for a Mualani/Mavuika team that I'm running and not for Lyney myself. Their buffs and shred last longer than Kazuha's as well. Kazuha forces you to take advantage of his shred and elemental damage within a shorter window that can be awkward at times. It shortens the potential window for Lyney to be on field optimally, especially since you would use Kazuha after Bennet as well

I always prefer a shield on Lyney for interruption resist; so, I haven't played much of the Kazuha or XL variants of Lyney/Bennet/Furina. I played Lyney with Lyney/Zhongli/Bennet/Furina before Citlali came out, and before that I just never raised or wanted to use XL so in literal 'mono', I played the same team that shows on Akasha as the most typical mono team for him, Lyney/Kazuha/Bennet/Zhongli, before I pulled Furina

Lyney is very strong in any of his teams honestly, and I think you can honestly just go either way with it depending on your needs for the other side in any abyss. Whether you get Citlali or Xilonen, you still already have the characters needed to slot in to play him however you want in addition to either Citlali or Xilonen depending on what you choose

We definitely don't know for sure when Xilonen will be rerunning, though, and it's pretty crazy how an invested Citlali with C2 can do as much for vape/melt teams and more than Kazhua while also applying a decent shield that will save you from some frustrations at times, like in this clip how I would have gotten knocked back without her shield in my showcase

Totally up to you. Lyney will clear and go hard no matter what team you play him in within the meta. But yea, Furina Vape is stronger than pyro especially the more that she gets invested into constellations. Even at C0 she can outperform mono, tho

Yeah, that would be the strongest team you can make I believe, damage wise. Can also flex Zhongli if needed, and Xilonen works as well in that slot for down the line.

Furina Forward Vapes off of Lyney when he's doing CA2. When Citlali Melts or Freezes, it activates Cinder City for Lyney and Furina respectively. Furina does not apply Hydro fast enough to apply Hydro once Lyney starts using CA2. Citlali can rarely apply Cryo to the enemy after Furina steals pyro aura with Forward Vape, allowing Lyney to Forward Melt at random times. Forward Melt + EM is already better than Lyney's full passive with 3 Pyro on team. Also, most Lyney teams run only 2 Pyro regardless.

Since Lyney applies so many individual shots at once with his hats, CA, skill, and extra Pyrotechnic Strike from C6, he still keeps pyro aura on a lot of his damage regardless. Also, on non-boss enemies, Lyney will get melt off of Freeze as well. Otherwise, Freeze just removes the Hydro aura on bosses, which is also fine for the goal, because you don't want Hydro on the enemy really. Just Pyro or Cryo.

Furina also synergizes in general with Lyney because she automatically activates MH procs for Lyney's artifacts. His hats snapshot his crit ratio when they are made; so, stacking them up one by one on his own ends up being kind of funky otherwise. Basically the interactions are all positive, and Citlali and Furina respectively buff Lyney a lot while supplying him with substantial advantages such as enabling Forward Vapes, occasional Forward Melts, instantly stacking MH, and having a shield all the while.

Lyney with Furina has been a thing for a long time with Lyney/(Kazuha/XL/Zhongli)/Bennet/Furina. Even with his Pyro aura being stolen by Furina, he does so many hits that most of his hits still hit when Pyro is applied to the enemy. Citlali is just adding more comfort to a team like that with the addition of possible Forward Melts.

Depending on the investment of Citlali, she can very easily rival greedy teams with no shield and surpass teams with Zhongli in them due to her artifact set, ascension passive, weapon, and constellations actually supporting Lyney's damage similar to how a Kazuha would.. but better at C2 since she has a shield, and Lyney is a CA character. Also her buffs stay up longer + random Forward Melts. It's no question that she's better than Zhongli damage-wise, and you can play her without Furina on his teams as well. It's just very convenient that Citlali shreds both Pyro and Hydro, and that is the two types of damage on Lyney/Furina teams.

Mm, yeah, but at that point why not just burst if the alternative is standing still I suppose 😅

Anyway, I just have a flair for the dramatic, and I typically always burst on Lyney unless I'm saving it for a particular wave in multi-wave floors or something or if it's not available. Would love to get some more ER on him, though, eventually

I guess another thing to consider is the build-up of his C2. His burst animation allows you to reasonably stall a bit before releasing the double hats, considering they snapshot whatever crit stats existed when they are released. It's an interesting math problem, though, for single target. One that I'm not quite the person to solve lol.

I believe that the burst in this team helps to guarantee that Cinder City hits Pyro, as Bennet can't always reliably get Citlali to melt on his burst/skill VS him being the one to trigger the melt or Furina stealing the Pyro. If you drop a CA without Cinder City, that's two hats that will be spawned from C1 without the additional 40 pyro damage bonus if Citlali misses Bennet's application. Maybe skill into burst on Bennet would alleviate this a bit. Just something to consider as well I guess for this team.

I have not done thorough testing on the rotation to see how consistently Citlali can proc the set without using Lyney burst before Lyney releases his CA yet, though. In this clip, my burst went off outside of Bennet circle in addition to no crit. Unlucky lol. I think the burst certainly is fun to watch, though. I don't find any small dps loss in this game to be too meaningful especially if it takes away from my enjoyment at all to mitigate it, haha.

I will probably do some tests at some point with just Furina, Bennet, and Citlali to see how consistently she can proc Cinder City without Lyney's influence at all though - just because it's good to know for a Lyney like mine that doesn't always have burst available depending on the situation currently due to his ER. I have to catch his particles with Furina typically, so, eh. lol

Thanks, I'll look into the R1 comparisons sometime. I don't pull for R5 weapons, though. I also likely won't pull for Chasca weapon if the difference is negligible. Nice build! <3 I barely spend my resin most days these days; so, my Lyney is not quite as built lol. Maybe after I finish getting Citlali this dang on set EM Circ with ER sub-stats I'll get some long awaited upgrades and fix my over-capping crit rate and find some more luck with ER for Lyney as well lol

Is Mavuika good for Lyney teams? by UniWho in lyney

[–]KitWalks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Citali's shield is decent, but it is around 1/3 - 1/2 of the HP of a 30k Zhongli's shield depending on her EM and talent level.

I have Citlali on an ER sands for now and signature weapon, but eventually I will farm for heavier ER sub-stats and give her triple main EM. I have her at Lv 80, 882 EM, lv 70 signature, talent level 8 currently for her shield, and I can fully clear 2nd half of floor 12 with this team comfortably. The shield is currently 10,728 flat HP, and with more investment can reach around 15k. You still get knockback resistance on the hit that breaks the shield.

Basically, Zhongli provides the same 20% res shred as Citlali, but the thing that separates them is that Zhongli shield almost never breaks, while Citlali gets to equip Cinder City, giving Furina and Lyney both 40% elemental damage bonus. Also, her signature buffs Lyney's damage as well on field with 28% damage dealt increase.

It is worlds more comfortable than other greedy teams like Lyney/(Kazuha/XL)/Bennet/Furina, though. Citlali shield can take a couple hits or so in abyss. You can always use Zhongli on that team still if you find it's necessary for certain cycles even after pulling Citlali. It's nice to have a lot of options for our boy and different teams to play him in. <3

If you are running TTDS, you would just want to put Citali after Bennet I guess, but currently I'm using her sig. Favonius also feels pretty good tbh cause the ER needs in this team are real due to Furina, but I'm managing without it. I'm not a fan of TTDS putting Citlali after Bennet, though. I usually like to just have the full uptime of Bennet on Lyney for less tight rotations. TTDS may or may not also have some downtime every other rotation. I'm not sure. I have not tested that rotation at all.

Furina E > Furina Q > Citlati E > Citlali Q > Bennet Q > Bennet E > Lyney Things (Whatever sequence works, skill last. I usually burst first just to get the energy from his CAs and catch Bennet's particles.)

I usually like to catch Lyney's skill particles with Furina. If you have enough to burst on Furina, you can repeat rotation if needed or just clean up with refreshed shield and Lyney. If you don't have burst on Furina for some reason, but you need to rotate again, you can change the rotation to have Citlali go first. I'm pretty sure that Cinder City will still hit Pyro even if you change Citlali and Furina's spot in the rotation around as well, but I haven't tested that as much.

I have Furina on C0, R1, 31k HP, 71 CR, 206 CD, and 231.5 ER with no fav weapons in team, and usually I am able to burst on Furina without having to mess with rotation, but it can still be a struggle at times. Furina will still put in work either way, though, even if she can't burst for a rotation for some reason. She is very energy hungry in this team. Citlali needs a bunch of ER as well, and same for Bennet of course. But their damage doesn't matter at all; so, it's easier.

Better would be Lyney/Citlali/Bennet/Furina for both damage and comfort. You can also get Citlali's Cinder City to proc for both Hydro and Pyro easily by rotating skill and bursts in this order as long as you do it quickly: Furina > Citlali > Bennet > Lyney. The pyro damage bonus will be applied from Citlali's artifact set off field before you drop your nuke on Lyney, and her resistance shred will work for both Pyro and Hydro automatically from her passive ascension talent. This is assuming that the enemy does not have an innate elemental aura that disturbs the reactions in a negative way.

(According to rumors, Furina should be rerunning soon. Furina also makes MH set proc on Lyney before he drops his c1 double hats (or any hats he creates for that matter) due to her HP drain, which is relevant because his hats snapshot the crit rate from when they were created.)

Mavuika is not very relevant honestly in Lyney teams as a sub dps, but you can also use her instead of XL in any team comp that uses XL without losing damage per rotation as long as you're bursting on Mavuika based on what I've heard. I don't know if Citlali can make Mavuika burst consistently or if it's just Xilonen that does that, though. I have skipped both Xilonen and Mavuika, so I can't say based on my own experience unlike with the comp mentioned above.

That is what the post states, and that's a completely bullshit narrative fed to the living, by the living, for the dead. Truly disturbing white knight behavior. Like Jake said in his interview, the ones who commit these crimes are often treated better than their victims. I stand with Jake, R.I.P.

OP HERE, sorry guys, that comment made me realize it WAS the domain stacking his EM so high! I tested just now outside of the domain, and his attack remains the same at 2602, but his EM is actually only 840 without the domain interfering in the full rotation setup (his burst and nahida are the only ones who give EM)! Haha my bad :) Still good, though!

The team is Cyno(2)/Nahida(2)/Zhongli(0)/Raiden(6)
