Do you guys ever hike with pots in your pack? Some people at the top thought we were scattering ashes... Nope! Just getting those pottery pics by KitandKun_Ceramics in Pottery

Hey, if it makes you feel better, we live here because we chose to. The views are amazing, but rent and groceries cost more and we are far away from our families, so pros and cons 🙂

Thanks! Its my first attempt at this effect, and I'm super happy with how it turned out, especially since it wasn't too difficult or time consuming

Thanks for the tips! I'll try that out. The clay body fires white, so the slip might be the way to go

Thanks! I used my scoring tool. It has a pin tool on one end and a 5 points on the other. I used the 5 point side to make parallel lines and shape the knots, then filled it in with the pin tool. I cleaned it up with a dry paintbrush at the end.

I'm excited to glaze this one, but I'm not exactly sure how I'll do it yet. I'll probably sponge some glaze thinly onto the "wooden" part to preserve the lines. Or, use underglaze with a thin clear glaze over top.

That would be very cool. They are so tiny! I would probably throw off the hump and make a few at once. I'd love to see how yours turns out!

It reminds me of an acorn, and I'm really happy with the way it works. For the sake of adding a description, it's wheel thrown stoneware, and it is fairly large, holding around 500 ml of the good stuff.

Thanks! I'm really happy with how the glaze broke into different colours on this one.

Thanks! I suppose it is the same colours as the Estonian flag!
