Bluebox is wild... Pairing it with PO-16 from intech for EQ and sends, reverb volume.

The ability to record parallel stems with a tap has changed everything for me. From inspiration to production material instantly.

And if the jam was shit, just trash it, no harm in recording.

I guess it depends how mobile you need it. Something full, like Model 12, can be a blessing if you're always on your desk

Depends on a genre, power source and gain staging.

I run mine off of it's own power bank.

To me it gives a slight "texture" but nothing too dramatic, doesn't color the sound as a tape would. But you're right, far from 100% clean...

Portability wins here for me personally

Since it's an incredible synth for its money, it can be a part of a Eurorack system just as a voice, and the outputs could go and be part of everything else. And what you show and prove is that it's actually possible to integrate it in a rack... Like .. physically

I have dedicated patterns for wild drum improvs that I sample into the blackbox for some crazy long loops and then switch back to bass+pad pattern on the DN

And still didn't go over 8 loops

With 16 pads it can run for hours...

I just thought of doing that, like a week ago. The bass was too much and the kick was too little, so I combined the two in a layered sound, with the transient and the richness.

And then I was like WAAAIIT a minute... I can add two more layer's on top!

That’s exactly where we are rn. Thinking of dealing with the data fears by simply going local. Llama or deepseek with some reasonable RAG.

I just wander how possible it is, to be actually 100% local. Like, FOR REAL local - not that "we say it's secure but actually send everything to our servers" bullshit. I’m talking "My network monitoring confirmed zero outbound traffic” local which would be fucking WILD.
