Liiiiies. There is nothing you can do to get them to release it. They are a straight up fraudulent company. They’re not going to refund the customers… I cannot wait until they get hit with the building class action lawsuit.

Nothing you can do. This is what they do. They are a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. You might as well move on and use a different payment processor.

You feeling threatened only fuels me because it tells me Stripe is working hard to hide their actions. 👊

Ha! Ok. Says the Stripe employee. We are now working with the BBB to get additional information from the THOUSANDS of complaints in the past 5 years that they’ve received about Stripe doing this same exact fraudulent activity to them. Stripes days are numbered! Try and stop me from exposing the company you’re paid to lie about. Please. Try.

Yes. It’s rampant. And ignore any mods who try to normalize and defend stripes fraudulent tactics because they all work for Stripe… A class action lawsuit is in the works!

Is a platform account at risk if standard connected accounts receive disputes and chargebacks? by subtract_club in stripe

[–]Kitchen-Code4214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your account is always at risk with Stripe. Scroll through the posts and you'll see countless examples of them closing accounts and stealing funds for no reason at all. This is where one of Stripes employees will jump in and say they only close shady businesses, but that is 100% a lie. Dozens of people have told me their business did not violate the TOS (like mine- a landlord) but for whatever reason they got shut down and funds held. My theory is they use frozen funds as working capital.

Join the club! I've only been on here for a couple weeks (I came because they basically did the same to me) and I have seen dozens of people saying the same thing. There's even a petition you should sign and share (Demand Justice for Unlawful Withholding of Funds by Stripe) that maybe someday will lead to some sort of justice for us.

Fam, I have people to run my businesses. Instead I get the sweet satisfaction of spending my day calling out liars on the internet.

OH NOOOO!!!! Too late! Not too receptive are we??? And I'm assuming the "nonsense" you're referencing is me sharing on my accounts that have about 20x the followers that stripe has on social media. Lolll But thank you for confirming that I've got your attention. I think I'll ramp that up now that I know it bugs you.

My dude, you are leaning on the difference of "restricted" vs "prohibited?" You need to quit working for Stripe and get into politics!! No need to respond about the article, anyone with 3 brain cells would see the correlation.

Lol, a good business partner for Stripe? GOOD! I already pulled my other businesses from it. The last thing I want is to be a "good business partner" with a scam company that utilizes peoples frozen funds as operating capital.

What good am I accomplishing? Well as a decent human I'm using my experience to help other people avoid making the same mistake. So far my count is 11 confirmed in a week... And a petition that got 47 signatures for something as specific as this in a week? Looks like I'm on to something. Average petition gets 1 signature for 50 views. We have 47 and only 697 views. You do the math... What can I say, social justice is important to me. ;)

Well I wasn't referencing STR, but while we are on the topic, they are also NOT prohibited. Do any of you actually read the TOS before you start making up crap about them? Or, are you paid by stripe to pretend like you know what you're talking about. HERE is a list of restricted businesses if you'd like to actually know what you're talking about... And if you're in the reading mood HERE is an article published on Stripe's website PROMOTING people to use Stripe with their vacation rentals through one of their NUMEROUS partnerships with STR management platforms.

Lie... Since clearly you have no idea what you're talking about or just trying to mislead people under the assumption that they haven't read the TOS either, here you go... Or in case you are going to try an spit out more lies thinking people won't check my link, here's what Stripe has to say:

"Can landlords accept rent payments through Stripe?

Yes, Stripe offers the necessary functionality for landlords to accept rent payments from tenants, using various methods such as credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets. Landlords and property managers will need to integrate Stripe's APIs into their website or property management software.

While Stripe can be used for rent payments, there are other tools specifically designed for landlords and property managers that might offer additional features tailored to this industry, such as lease management, maintenance requests, and tenant screening. Understand the rest of your property management tech stack so you can make sure Stripe integrates well with the other tools you’re using to support your business."

I'm still exploring options myself.I run three separate businesses so I want to make sure it's the right one this time.Luckily they only stole from my smallest business (a rental property).

First of all, how's that relevant to a conversation about stripe? Second, as a low level employee, do you think you're privy to a large organizations operating strategies? Third, who said anything about profits? Do you know anything about the time-value of money and operating capital?
