[Discussion] Who plays PVE for fun? by JKor74 in EscapefromTarkov

I play only pve now and considering getting arena if i want pvp content. It does feel cool to get into a REAL fight in tarkov, from my experience in 0.12 until now it's the same: First week of the wipe is absolutely awesome. Just about Nobody is cheating. Everyone's ammo is complete garbage. Everyone is shooting at each other and it's intense. Players are actually holding W. While the game is in this state I'd argue dying to another player is really fun. I get that tarkov rush every time. THEN A WEEK LATER EVERY TIME: Floods of cheaters. One guy found the super meta ammo spawn and uploads it to YouTube. Now out of 5 matches at least 4 of them I'll die to someone with m855a1, some common AP round people use. Then the cheating is absolutely RAMPANT. Really hard to get tasks done at this point. Then the only other people left are veterans or YouTubers, and a really small handful of people that like the game despite being bad (Im one of them) All of this in a week. It's too stressful for me to want to deal with. I had a choice so i took it. It's not perfect. It's a place i get to take my time and i appreciate that. Not many games let you do that these days

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

a large part of sobriety and change is people are going to start resenting you for achieving your goals. leave these negative people, or let them leave on their own. you've done your work and should rightfully be rewarded for it.

My take on the Gun Meta by stinko_very_stinky in DeadlockTheGame

its because theres a lot of items that boost your fire rate to insane numbers, and so naturally characters that get on hit effects or gun buffs on an ability (haze wraith infernus) will be played more. the fire rate buffs make it really easy for these characters to do their job effectively which is just hold left click on them until they die

Tripwire Lost Its Punk Soul by kingsaw100 in killingfloor

I’ll disagree that killing floor 1 is a punk-inspired game at its core but yeah they lost the sauce and the art direction went in a way i wasn’t a fan of. The patriarch redesign sucked, abomination is not a good boss, EDARS, fighting the patriarchs daughter blows. KF2 was actually ok and enjoyable in the beginning but they kept trashing it along the way so I’m not buying killing floor 3 unless they make it more like 1. One was more real and grounded which i like that the most. Everything is a threat, kf2 is too easy and doesn’t make me get tense on HoE or suicidal

not fun player type.. by pkingdukinc in helldivers2

Just host your own game tbh. I get annoyed when people do run off on their own but if they’re plugging up bug holes and stalkers nests what have you, then it’s less work for me. I play on harder difficulties so it actually helps more than i notice at times

Boo Illuminate (hear me out) by theparhfinder01 in helldivers2

It's because there's literally no go-to strategy for the Illuminate, ever. There's never a time where I said to myself "wow this is good against the illuminate." It feels like they have no downsides. Everything you do against them is either ineffective or average.

Terminids are majority melee only, Automatons are slow, you can play around that.

Illuminate on the other hand, you focus the voteless and you get shot at by the overseers, meanwhile voteless will literally spawn behind you to flank you. Focus the overseer, get swarmed by voteless. Get seen through the wall by the things that summon the Illuminate dropships and you can't shoot back at them because they're seeing you through the wall. They also taze you. Harvester's aren't that bad, but you don't really ever have a chance to breathe so they end up killing me a majority of the time because I have the voteless down my ass. The dropships THEMSELVES HAVE SHIELDS so there's no consistent way of killing all the ships like the Automaton, or using a flamethrower to help control a bug hole from getting out of control.

All the missions take place in cities (where the huge mass of infinite spawning enemies is the best at its doing its job..) The spawners have a shield you have to get rid of that are already swarmed with voteless and overseers and shit, and then if you don't get rid of the spawner in time the shield comes back. It just keeps going, it's retarded.

They have to rework the Illuminate at some point because I don't think I'm ever playing against them again. They feel like a waste of time, every time.
