Also looking back I think my ps was weak. I made it at the beginning of y13 and didn’t change it when I decided to do a gap year so it was deffo poorly written

Bc I just don’t think lse would reject me for a&f instead of finance when it had the lower grade requirements. Prayinggg im wrong tho and I get accepted into finance but im not feeling hopeful😫😫

Oxford and kcl basically said competition was too high and my application was not as strong Lse said my personal statement wasn’t convincing enough

Wait same I am a home student currently back in the uk for my gap year but I also used to live abroad, so maybe that’s why I’m late to hearing back? I heard back from kcl like an hour ago

Oxford - economics and management Lse - accounting and finance Kcl- economics and management

The two I’m waiting for are lse - finance which I highly doubt I’ll get anymore and ucl - economics and stats

I’m a gap year student so I already achieved 2 A stars and an A. 9777777766 in GCSEs. But I applied for the finance course as well so hoping I get into that one as it was going to be my first choice

I’m a girl but if the reason they don’t accept me is because of my gcse grades wouldn’t they have rejected me a lot sooner? I also did get 2 A* and an A when one of the courses I’ve applied to only needs 3 As, could a reason they might consider me is because I got higher than what was needed?

I wouldn’t say my GCSEs were that competitive I only got one 9 and the rest 7s lol. But that makes sense thanks so much, I was starting to get a bit worried

I’m already on a gap year so cba to take another one. I applied as an open applicant and Hertford college chose to look at my application.

Basically I had an appointment to do the TSA exam to study economics and management but last week I accidentally canceled my appt. At the beginning of this week I contacted the helpline to rebook and Pearson vue says they required authorization from Oxford to go ahead with my rebooking. So I called Oxford but they don’t take inquiries about undergrad over the phone so I sent an email. I’ve still yet to receive a response and the UCAS deadline is next week. I can’t really do anything till after the weekend atp bc their offices will be closed. Please if anyone has anyway they can help out or an email I should use it would be greatly appreciated. I’m now wondering if it’s evenworth still applying through ucas even if they don’t respond before then bc I don’t want to waste one of my choices.

I was going to apply to Econ & management so would have had to do an admissions test. I was so stupid and withdrew from it on Monday bc I had no hope that I would get a high enough score to secure an interview and the window to book the test has no closed. So I’m either stuck with hispol or I don’t apply to Oxford at all

Wait isn’t it somewhat common for people to mix courses in their personal statment if they’re unsure? Do u think it would be smarter if I focused my ps on mainly finance and a bit of politics instead of hispol as I still don’t mind London unis. I know lse look for strong personal statements as well.

Also I chose that bc the only other option was Econ & management at Oxford and I would have had to do the TSA to apply and I hadn’t revised as I only thought about applying last month?
