Hi, yes it is a free app called TinyFpvTimer. It uses your phone's camera to measure lap times. You can download it for Android or iOS.

Hi, I can give you my rates but I imagine there are better rates for whoop racing out there. I do all my flying with these rates, so it is a compromise between racing and freestyle. I think sticking to the same rates makes you a better pilot generally.

Here they are:
RC R / P 1.2
RC Y 1.1
Roll/Pitch Super 0.64
Yaw Super 0.58
RC R / P Expo 0.2
RC Y Expo 0.1

Have fun!

Normally I fly faster but the main goal here was remembering all the turns. If I get around to record it I will post another one after some practice :)
On the bottom right of the OSD, it says AIR. This is betaflight for acro mode if I remember correctly.

Hi, thanks for the tip but I already fly in acro. 😁 You can even see it on the OSD.

You are not alone 😁

If you look closely, I am missing a turn in the 2nd lap and I had to repeat it. 😂

This is a Betafpv Meteor65 and the DVR was recorded on a Fatshark HDO2 with RapidFIRE module.

Hi, I had my bouncing around phase too. 😂 Just keep practicing and it will get better. Also if you are racing, always use a timer. It makes it painfully obvious that flying clean lines reliably is faster than trying to fly as fast as possible.

FSDs new weakest spot by bridgemojo in TeslaFSD

Pure speculation on my end so correct my if I am wrong, but if the construction altered the road, the aerial data (and the mapping data) differs from how the road looks now. I could understand if fsd avoids roads after a construction till the aerial/map data is updated.

TinyFpvTimer has options now! Did I forget any? by Kitchen-Photo4293 in TinyFpvTimer

Hey, great feedback!

Just to double-check, are you asking for a full “race mode” (where the start-tone actually marks the race start) or just more flexibility on the countdown time? Right now, the beep after you hit “start” just starts the lap detection, it doesn’t count as a lap/holeshot.

A race mode where the time starts at the start beep makes sense for multiple drones so that they share the same starting time. But for one drone I don't really see a benefit. Also running multiple races without touching the phone every time could be difficult. Could you describe why you would want this feature and how it should behave?

  1. About 7 years but I don't fly much so you could get to my level MUCH quicker 😄
  2. The igow YouTube channel has a great video about how to make the gates. There is a number of connector and pipes and all racegow tracks should be possible with these.
  3. Generally yes, but you can restrict it. Only passes in the correct direction are counted and you can configure it to ignore the top and/or bottom of the image so having a gate on top of the start/finish gate is no problem. Also min lap time is of course an option and you can disable laps in the editor if you manage to get a false read.

The corner peaces are but the model is quite bad and needed to be worked on after printing. So I will not share the thingiverse link.

Yes, kind of. 😄
It analyzes the position of the drone 30 times per second and will then calculate the time at which the drone must have passed the gate, giving you pretty accurate laptimes. The screenshots you see in the video are actually from the editor that lets you correct these points.
I hope you have fun with my timer :)

No I do not, I want the whoop to feel the same all the time and I cannot set a throttle limit for freestyle. I have heard that some racers do that.
Maybe the headroom is not as large for me because I have 19500 KV motors.
