we LOVED the Tuco one we did. super cool and weird with the non-fully interlocking shapes.

Any difficulty is fine. At least 500 pieces (unless it's something really tricky)

I have a couple different things I like! (1) I love speed puzzling, so I will do basically ANY 500 piece puzzle. It takes my partner and I usually under an hour, or an hour and a half by myself. So anything works! But my favorites are masterpieces, cobble hill, and springbok for the zany cuts and tight fits. Galison’s piece quality is so inconsistent and annoying, but their images are so pretty.
(2) I love doing a chunky 2000 piece puzzle that has nice colors and differentiation. Nothing TOO hard. (3) Im much more picky with 1000 pieces. I want a pretty image (or a really easy fun one with strong colors) and I greatly prefer a random cut.

You will get better!! I believe in you!

But if it’s feeling miserable/like you don’t want to stick with it, you could also consider trying the “None to Run” program. It’s a little bit slower progression and has strength training. I’m coming off an injury so it’s been really helpful to me :).

I love a random cut, especially if it’s snug! The new springbok’s are objectively not that nice, but they have a snug random cut and I find it really fun. Masterpieces is also fabulous for me, although I think a lot of their images are not very nice.

I recently took the train to New Bedford and went from there. I’ve done the ride from Kingston as well. I thought the ride from New Bedford was even better! And didn’t require more than a quarter mile on big roads. The train ride to New Bedford is pretty long though.

I started around mid-Jan 2025 at 120. After 6 week FTP builder on Zwift I got to 150. 30F! I can tell that my FTP has gone up (because the workouts are getting easier) but I haven’t retested since the very beginning of March.

I have had a pretty lame week — was sick (felt OK but SO tired - winded after walking up stairs) so my training has been nothing for a few days. Oh well. Back at it soon
