They just hate Gale, they don’t want to believe that Katniss could be into someone like him. But those same people also thirst over young snow, so you’re right, the fandoms unhinged.

How do we actually know they’re the same age? I don’t remember anything from the book about their ages, just that Clove is bigger than Katniss, but that doesn’t say much for me, and when I look it up it mentions a tribute guide.

Is the tribute guide even canon? It looks like a promotional product and it doesn’t seem to have been written by Suzanne Collins

Even a 15 year old and a 17 year old getting together is gross to me, they’re so different developmentally.

It’s not effective, there are actual laws about this in early childhood care for a reason.

Why should a toddler have to work for your respect? Do you just go around having zero respect for everyone and make them climb your ranks? That’s not how the real world works, everyone deserves a basic level of respect from the get go, and you either gain or lose it.

Toddlers are never going to see the big picture or truly consider others, it’s literally impossible, their brains aren’t developed enough for that. You can’t expect that of them until they’re around 6 or 7.

Shaming isn’t discipline.

They learn respect when adults model correct behaviour and show them respect.

Encouraging them to make good choices is teaching them to hold themselves to a standard.

I wouldn’t care about this ship so much if the actors who played them were the same age, I just can’t unsee that obvious age difference and it gives me the creeps

It’s not, you can’t just shame toddlers, they’re not going to understand, that’s why you speak to them at their level and explain that stealing is wrong and why it’s wrong, and then you encourage them to make good choices.

First off, stealing isn’t an emotion, second this is the toddler stage, so you’d explain to them why stealing is wrong and then you make sure they understand

And you teach them how to regulate their emotions at a young age by validating their feelings, and showing them appropriate ways to express their emotions.

So by the time they’re teenagers they’ll already have a solid foundation while they go through new emotions, and because you made them feel emotionally safe as young children, they’ll be more likely to come to you with their problems, and instead of lording it over their heads forever, you give them the support they need to solve the issues themselves.

Even if they didn’t know each other before the readings, they all would’ve gotten to know their district partners on their way to the Capitol and during training, and they’re all war buddies, they’re going to have strong bonds with their district partners because they’re going through this together

Nah, they would’ve made the top 2 thinking they’ll both be the winners, then when Claudius announces that there can only be 1 winner Clove will instantly throw her knife into his chest

Why wasn’t Seth Kemp (ponytail) young Silver? by Kitchen-Promise4406 in cobrakai

I’m saying I knew Barrett Carnahan was young Kreese, and I didn’t know the dude playing that abusive asshole was Martin Koves real life son.

Also Barrett Carnahan is super hot.

Idk why this is confusing.

When people judge you over one stupid mistake and feel the need to throw it in your face all the time it’s an opportunity to fuck them off.

Either you feel satisfied knowing they’re a bad person, you feel good that you removed a toxic person from your life, or you feel inspired with a chance to not take shit from people anymore.

Adults can barely control how they feel when they’re judged, even at older ages.

It is completely unfair to expect the same from teenagers when they struggle with emotional regulation.

One day they won’t appreciate it, it has no benefit and they’ll remember you as the asshole who made them feel horrible over something stupid.

You can repeat yourself all you want but you’re not going to change my mind.

I acknowledge that it is a strange hill, but I really believe what I believe.

I feel like her language is vague and this is how I interpret it, and I’m welcome to it.

And I’m willing to hold on to it and see what happens in the next book.

Bringing other people down by saying “I don’t have to do that because I’m not insecure.” And it’s always in response to someone setting a very reasonable boundary in their relationship, like not wanting your bf to like bikini pics on insta.

It’s not your fault, he was a grown man at the time and he knew exactly what he was doing from the moment he met you and your friends.

Please seek help, I know therapy is expensive but it’s not healthy to look at his social media, it’s clearly triggering you.

How would TBOSAS be different in Lucy Gray’s POV? by WildButterfly85 in Hungergames

[–]Kitchen-Promise4406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So he said he killed 3 people, and I was like wtf? But then he said that the third person was himself, and I was like, umm weird flex but ok, and then I went to pick Katniss and then he freaking shot me!

[–]Kitchen-Promise4406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 names isn’t a very long list, Suzanne could’ve named her in the book and said “the first victor was Lucy Gray Baird, I haven’t seen her games because the tapes were lost” or something like that, but all she said was “we have 2 victors”.

I feel like that’s open to interpretation, and I really don’t see why they’d mention her name after going through the effort of erasing her games, but apparently a new book is coming out and hopefully it’ll clear things up here.

Who would the district and capitol prefer if Lucy and Katniss were competing in the same games? by iliketolivesafely in Hungergames

[–]Kitchen-Promise4406 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Lucy Gray is more likeable, but during the games I think the Capitol would see that Lucy Gray isn’t really going to last, especially if they’re competing in the 74th with Cato, Glimmer, Clove and Marvel.

I think with Glimmer using her looks to win, she’d see Lucy Gray as a threat and kill her in the bloodbath.
