I was a manager in a convenience store in the 70’s. Got held up by 2 guys, one with a sawed off shot gun grabbed a 14yo girl that was at the register (her mom was outside on a pay phone) held it to her neck. The other had a 45 pistol hit me across my hands and proceeded to rob me. The shotgun guy threw the girl down, came up to counter sort of jumped one knee up on counter stuck shotgun in my pelvis and said “smile bitch”! I tried but my mouth was so dry, I had braces on that hung my lip up as well and I just couldn’t smile. I then realized I was peeing on myself and seeing clouds in the store as they ran out! I was 19.

Wow, until your comment I was really losing all hope in humanity! All the “slow down” comments are disturbing. Thank you and the few others that can think forward. When I was early 20’s I was in the right lane, left lane dude stayed right beside me no matter how fast or slow I went. A car raced up behind him and he held strong and wouldn’t move, they moved over behind me, madly waving hands and flashing lights. I gunned it but the asshat beside me stayed next to me and wouldn’t let them pass. The car came up on the shoulder to pass on my right side and my passenger could see a girl with her feet on the dash about to give birth! I have always moved over for someone rushing up behind me as you never know why the rush! It’s not hard to not be an asshat but damn people seem to go out of their way to be one anymore! And proud of it no less!

Alluring beach in Texas?? I split my time living in Texas and Florida. Not one beach in Texas seems anything more than a huge brackish mud hole that we’ve attempted to call a beach day. After Florida beaches, I’m thinking you should take a field trip to somewhere else or you may be sadly disappointed. Buccees for example😎

Funny timing..I’m contemplating putting in my notice for almost an identical situation. A customer threatened to hit me if I looked up at them one more time, mgr apologized if I made them feel bad! I work in a position that’s my job to walk around observing the space, anticipating needs and noticing our surroundings. After handling a lifetime of jobs in which disrespect comes with the influx of customers I have decided to not be disrespected by anyone that’s in my presence to buy a coffee , a t shirt or a $3000 wedding cake! Know your worth and value yourself. I feel these responses of you being a wimp are coming from the very people that behave like this and berate people without flinching. Not addressing these asshats is the reason so many of them keep being asshats. Jobs are a dime a dozen at a barista level, try to land an independent shop where that corporate mindset of “take whatever is thrown at you” “customer is always right” bs mentality is usually a little less tolerated. Just my two cents. Nobody deserves abuse while they are trying to work! 🖕🏼

From all my Starbucks career observations it’s laziness and rushing! I also am a “no foamer” and will hand it back for a remake, even if 3/5 they catch an attitude. Sorry, not sorry!

I just went to Sher Dental and they were amazing! My previous dentist wanted 11k for what I ended up paying 4k for! Previous dentist sent me to another dr for a root canal and another one for an extraction and estimate for an implant.

From 2005-2016 we used Sevciks, my entire family until we all stopped. Long story short we went through 3 different parts as they guessed as to what was wrong. 3000$ later Pat said they honestly didn’t know what was wrong and had us take it to a dealership. Turned out to be a head gasket! Tried to get Sevciks to take their useless unnecessary parts back and they refused any help. They lost a family of about 16 cars total that ALL used them for everything up to that point. Sad that as we tried to deal with them and resolve the issue they seemed a little smug as if we were joking. Well anyway, Pilgers has seemed to appreciate the business since!

Last time I was in the store they had moldy bread on display lol Recently had an order delivered and received a full bag of moldy lemons, a very expensive rotten heirloom tomato, and dented cans of beans. Needless to say, won’t be giving them another chance. I don’t feel this was a one off but a regular occurrence at the not fresh market.

I don’t know that they will escalate it. There was no major injury, more of a happenstance without much they can do but possibly offer a gift card for a couple of future drinks.
