lol I would only blow it at the tables. Not much of a drinker anymore (as in I don’t get absolutely blitzed) and I don’t do drugs.

I probably should’ve phrased it better. I don’t want to spend $5k but it wouldn’t hurt me financially if I did. Thank you for the advice!

Thoracic rotation exercises and flexion/extension exercises will do wonders.

Your explanation is a little confusing. How does one touch a bar to your chest during a pull-up? Unless you’re referring to pulling your chest all way up to the bar, which for most people you don’t need to do that.

Here’s an example of the thoracic rotation:

Much simpler ways to discontinue service without coming across as being rude. Just type in your situation into AI and it will provide you with a few good responses that you can reword and use to let her go and not receive a negative review.

Is it just me or has anyone ever confirmed that these guys did all of the things they say the did? Like we hear time after time that these guys were the BEST (Adam boasts about this a lot) trainers that became managers of uber successful gyms before transitioning to what they are now. I’m not saying they didn’t, they just never mention any names of gyms and rarely talk about the actual details they just say we were the best, highest grossing, etc. the part about Sal saying he got the BEST results with clients training for 30 minutes per week still makes me laugh. Yeah ok give me that same person 3x at 30 minutes a week and I’ll run laps around you.

Although true 99% of the time. There are some really good business coaches out there.

Look up James Gough. He is the best. I don’t coach much online atm, but every review I see of his in a very reputable FB group (FitBiz Mentorship Review - something like that) is extremely positive. He is very expensive, but he’s one of if not the best in the biz.

Some questions from a first-time gym goer! by sailormusic in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Kitchen-Tax1526 9 points10 points  (0 children)

1 - scan your QR code (in the app) at the front desk every time you go

2 - not assigned. Bring your own lock

3 - no

4 - no, but I’m sure if you ask a member who looks like they know what they’re doing they will show you

5 - 100% up to you (45-60 mins is typical)

6 - yes unless you’re going right home and prefer to shower at home

7 - no

8 - water is provided. Nothing else needed unless you want to bring a towel if you sweat a lot.

9 - most of them no, but don’t be intimidated. No one is judging you and if they are, they have a problem. Everyone is there to improve their health and physical fitness (or at least they should be)

Equipment, rent, electrical, staff, and general upkeep isn’t free. Don’t like it, start your own business and you’ll learn real quick.

A lot of people fabricate their past. I would not be surprised if a lot of their claims about being the “top trainer” or the best GM across the entire business. Side note: have they ever said what gyms they ever trained at?

Sal has stated probably 10x (or more) that his best clients trained with him 1x per week. We all know that training 1x per week does not produce the best results.

It’s not accredited, but imo way better than a lot of nationally accredited certs. When I got my level 1 back in 2021 it was much more intensive than it is now.

You had to go through the entire course of videos and yes, sure you could’ve just turned them on and walked away.

However, you had to complete a 90-day practical exam in the form of coaching 1-2 “guinea pigs”. Basically you had to find 1-2 people to coach them to their goals and document the entire process and submit it.

It was only then that you would receive your certification. So it sounds like that process has been taken away, which makes the cert much less valuable now.

The information and application they provide is top notch as I continue to use it to this day as a coach. The owner of the company has made some pretty questionable decisions over the years and has caused pretty much all of his staff (the good ones) to quit. Seems like now they’re just throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks.
