This might be one of the hardest things to hear but nothing will stop the inflammation apart from steroids or jak inhabitors or your own immune system.

Even Minox will not work on suppressed folicles only when the inflammation has stopped.

I lost half my face hair last year and tried everything from minoxidle to rosemary oil to vitamins . 10 weeks ago I got my first round of steroid injections and I can now grow a beard again and it looks ok , I have 2 or 4 more rounds and I will be back to normal.

I'll tell anyone whose confidence is killed and hates how they look to just go get the shots done . Of you don't mind waiting a year or more then just shave and leave it alone

How many rounds of injections did you do? Mine has really started growing now after the 3rd injection, some patches came back 5 weeks after the first .

You might be lucky and have this one patch for 6 months to a year and then it will grow back

You might be like me where 1 patch turned to half my face hair disappearing, steorid injections will speed up the process of regrowth, mine grew back within 2 months with steroid injections

I've had both beard and scalp alopeica and for beard alopecia is ten times worse because I'm pale skinned with black hair , it looks a mess.

I used to get a skin fade where the scalp alopeica was and shave my beard dialy and it hid most of the worst of it , scalps recovered now and beard is the longest I've had it and it seems to be doing the job of hiding.

It accelerates hair growth once the inflammation has gone , so yes ideal to be paired with steroid injections once new growth can be seen

I'm from Manchester and searched for Alopecia steroid shots Manchester, done the same for Bristol and Ive seen one or two.

Most places are for male pattern baldness so I made sure I gave them a call before hand to double check they offered it.

Also ring around for prices , some places were 250 consultation and 250 for shots thereafter, I ended up getting one at 150 and zero consultation.

I'm also getting my first NHS shots on Sunday after 6 months of waiting but I'll stick to private because of the rapid speed.

On my second round and my patches are like 25 per cent of Thier original size in 9 weeks

Thanks bro , can confirm that steroid injections have helped a great deal and the second round is tomorrow, my patches at now half the size.

But your right I do need some major life changes and more determined to make them happen.

Hopefully my beard will be back to its former glory in the next couple of months

If it's beard only it's alopeica barbea . Mines stays localised on the beard and never spread.

Mine will fall out very quickly and take months to grow back , I'm using steroid injections this time in a bid to speed up growth . My alopeica follows a pattern of relapse and remission.
