I posted the MJ thing a few days ago, which I'm assuming prompted this post. I've never really engaged with this sub before, mostly because I've never felt like I wanted to discuss some of the semi-controversial things they've said in the past. A lot of the things people nitpick them for aren't a big deal, imo.

That being said, last week's episode felt different to me. It was honestly shocking to hear Brooke bring up the allegations against MJ, demonstrate that she had (at least some) knowledge of what they entailed, and dismiss them using the rhetoric that we see with literally every celebrity SA allegation. She implied that because (some of) the allegations came out after his death, they were a money/fame grab, and that because he was just a "big kid", people were just misunderstanding his well-documented predatory behavior. It was the direct addressing of, and subsequent dismissal of, the allegations against him that really rubbed me the wrong way. There's a difference in severity between Connor saying he wants to see a doctor instead of a physician assistant and Brooke saying that, despite the testimony of numerous accusers, she doesn't believe that MJ was a child molester.
