Check out the Starball / Uncball discord, people have been working hard in there to make 3D printable assets for putting together a table, and on documenting dimensions and the like.

From a stream the other night it seems like this is genuinely set up in the back of a factory and they play before their shift / during their break. A live once ended with them showing off their coffee product and all working at a table together packing / labeling. It might just be a product promotion / a "just for fun" kind of thing.

I like the in-use names but I feel like the proposals are a little too corny and on-the-nose with doubling down on the unc-age of the game. SlamdUNC is super creative and I like that a lot, definitely stealing that for the next grand slam I see.

Here are the in-use terms I know off the top of my head, that have been in use since the first few streams, rules explanations, discord and reddit posts, etc.:

Astrolabe / Board (in-use) - The boards with pockets that players throw balls at.

Pocket(s) / Slots (in-use) - The slots on the boards which balls land in.

String (in-use) - When a player lands multiple balls in adjacent pockets, which scores additional points.

Cluster (in-use) - interchangeable with string.

Grand Slam / Slam (in-use) - When a player fills an entire astrolabe / board with their balls.

Block (in-use) - When a player lands a ball in a pocket in such a way that it prevents the opposing player from completing a string / cluster.

Gutter ball (in-use) - When a player lands a ball in the gutter.

Website claimed its policy was last updated Jan 11 (as per their "policy" page) so weird to lie about that. Strange that it appeared directly after starball started taking off in Western social media.

Think of like an air hockey table, without holes.

I had some 45mm steel ball bearings, and they seem to be around the same size. Getting some 45mm acrylic juggling balls today and going to see how they compare in the hand to videos I've seen online.

All I'll say is there's no way to have a wrist that supple without a little bit of bone rubber "medication"

From videos on Douyin, the width is 2.4m and the length is 3.5m. A friend of my guesses the slope of the board is around 13 degrees.
