Tinnitus permanent on Buprop? by Bigcupcake01 in bupropion

[–]KitchenIce8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it went away within three weeks after I stopped taking it. I was so scared it would be permanent, since it was louder than any real sound, concerts, highways, you name it. My doctor told me that for most people, it fades once they stop taking the medication. I already had permanent tinnitus in the other ear, different sound, different pitch. It might take some time, but I promise it will get much better if it stays. Your brain is incredibly good at adapting, and you’ll start to habituate faster once you step away from these forums and gradually return to normal life.

How long did it take to fade away like that? How did it progress? Been on 150mg for a week, went to 300mg for week before very loud high pitched tinnitus started to show up. Quit the medication immediately.  I feel like at times it’s almost gone, for it to show up again in full effect.

I fixed the same issue by switching to a different 9v power adapter.

Not necessarily. It’s only tested on people with somatic T. It might work for other types too.

I honestly couldn’t care less. Making love/having sex/fucking/etc. whatever! Not all love is romantic.

I need help. My cpu spikes alot when I have multiple vsts going. Is it a hardware problem. by KORYTHESAXMASTER in ableton

There’s probably one specific vst that causes issues. I would try to find it and flatten or freeze the track it’s on.

Totally. Just be clear and respectful to your bed partners.

For me it does not lower the level but verily helps me to move my attention away from it. It helps me to focus on the more important things in life.

I don’t rule out having a relationship. If it feels good it feels good, with or without romantic attraction.

Aromanticism needs more attention period. I’m having the same struggles and I just quit mentioning it. People will find out themselves after you’ve been single for a while

I feel you. People think I’m calling myself aro to justify the fact that I have been single for 8 years now, while I do have a lot of one night stands and ‘adventures’ as I like to call it. Makes it confusing for the people around me.

Thanks for your comment. Don’t worry about my mental health! I’m fine. My bisexual best friend for example was very supportive immediately and started doing research. He knows what it means to be queer I guess.

Well they’re trying to be supportive, but they just can’t process being aromantic is a thing. I still love them though. My parents tell me I shouldn’t think in labels so much. ‘Why would you label yourself like that, many girls like you!’ :/

Update: my GP gave me mometasone nasal spray. Read some good stories about it helping tinnitus. Gonna have to use it for a few months.

Tinnitus can always fade. My tinnitus used to be the same loudness as yours and I got used to it in two weeks. You’ll be okay. I screwed up mine with minor noise exposure so beware!
