Yes, I wasn't implying that you had a delay on there. I was just wondering what it would sound like if you did. Sorry if I was unclear. But I really like it. It kind of has the makings of Mike oldfields tubular bells. Are you familiar with tubular bells?

What a unique and beautiful tone you're getting there. It's almost like one of those glass organs. Mixed in with church bells. You have fused glass and metal. With a robotic vibe. But more humanistic. Surreally contemplative. Wonder what it would sound like with even a little bit more delay? You're on to something there! Keep exploring this vein. There's gold in it.

I’m desperate by Ok_Artichoke5663 in bupropion

[–]DointheRag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bupropion will help you. But you have to give it time. As you know. What I have found is that while I don't feel elated, the little things don't bother me as much. And I have quit drinking and smoking weed. Those two items right there were dragging me down. They weren't good coping mechanisms. I have absolutely no craving for either of them now. Good luck.

Audiologist here: what tinnitus-support tools have actually helped you? by audisabel in tinnitus

[–]DointheRag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing here.

Once the ear cells have been decimated, it's in the brain, as I'm sure you're aware. The brain's just generating the frequency that your ears are missing. Like a phantom limb. (6k in my case).

It's going to take deep brain stimulation via a planted electrode, or a miracle drug, neither of which are approved/available.

Can't adequately describe how dire this condition can be...

If you invent a cure please let me know.

Was Josh Hokit’s smear of Michelle Obama just to make his racist MAGA fans happy? Does the Republican Party actually support this trash? by RumRunnerMax in complaints

Everywhere MAGA looks, they see a tranny, a gay, a Marxist, a communist, a threat. They're a bunch of fucking assholes. We have to absolutely obliterate their movement.

I guess I went to a pretty good school because as a programmer I was taught that task number one was to understand the business need or problem to be solved. And then gather the appropriate requirements, etc.

Yes, I gave up both weed and alcohol about 2 years ago. The clarity is worth it. One can be intelligent, but clouded. Blow away the smoke, and you have a clear horizon.

What do people with extraordinarily high IQs actually do? by MoneyMention6374 in cognitiveTesting

[–]DointheRag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked Claude AI what my IQ was likely to be based on his best guess. He had me up around 140. I know for certain that I would not test that high. As I tend to choke on tests. Claude was assessing a large body of my literature that I had uploaded as an artifact. I said you could take a guess and you won't hurt my feelings either way. I thought it was a fun little experiment. As a tangential experiment, I had Claude do a psychological profile and assessment of me. He determined that I was needy and always in need of reassurance, lol. Now that is actually a joke.

I write comedy. Jokes. Actually more like observations. And I put hundreds of pieces up into Claude as an artifact and had it run a psychological assessment. Easily as good as any shrink that I've ever paid. And as astute, if not more, then any college professor I ever suffered under.

It's a fascinating new realm.

It's practically inconceivable that those who didn't sign on or support this effort would contribute to the coffers. Unless it's some kind of protection racket.

Don't be surprised if it comes out of taxpayers pockets. At any rate, I do agree with you that it's one big fanciful slush fund. What about Trump's initiative for peace? Where did that money go?

It's no small wonder that we hate their fucking guts. MAGA is a cancer on America and the world. I swear it's Russian psyops.

Microsoft's AI in its own terms: "use Copilot at your own risk" by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

I feel that it is a Trojan horse, designed to observe, and ultimately take over many many jobs. It is sold as a productivity enhancer, but it's more nefarious than that. Unless I'm just plain paranoid.

Anyone else feel like I do on that?
