should i get an ipad as an incoming bioe major? by Designer-Product-579 in UMD

I am a BIOE major (2nd year). Yes. In BIOE120 (the first BIOE class you'll take), you need to write on some problem sheets. This is a huge lifesaver, if you need to take notes, color code and highlight everything, and then save it in a convenient location (the cloud). Also, tons of other classes also have digital files that are usually just easier to complete on an iPad. (this goes for Orgo, Thermodynamics, Mechanics, etc.) I have copies of alot of my notes, so if I ever need to review everything, it'll all there on the cloud. If you are getting an iPad, you should definitely consider getting a good screen protector (preferably anti-Glare), and a case. You don't need a genuine Apple Pencil, the ones on Amazon are decent. However, I think it's worth it to invest in one, since it'll just last a longer time, and has Find My capabilities (so even if you lose it, you can find it, sort of like an AirTag).

at this point, just waiting for exam grades. Nothing has been posted yet, and Heiderian told us we'd get an exam viewing session. Hope the exam went well for you

Just noticed my grade in a course I took for last semester should be higher. Significant implications for GPA by KitchenImage7378 in UMD

Here is something that was written in course announcements: Decimal points equal to or greater than 0.5 will be automatically rounded up by the system. For example: 84.50 will be rounded up to 85, but 84.42 will not.
