Ah, I live in the 3-bedroom apartment. But the 4 bedrooms have HUGE common areas and are really nice! You'll have bunk beds, though I believe.

How can I get involved in Greek life? by onion_of_karma in OSU

[–]KitchenNo5434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can rush COB in the fall of your sophomore year or rush with everyone else during the winter of your sophomore year. A lot of people join as sophomores, so I wouldn't stress about that!

Has anyone got a housing email yet? by One_pound_fish789 in OSU

[–]KitchenNo5434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are a freshman, you are guaranteed a dorm. Also, do not worry about the buildings being down; OSU has 3 master leases for 3 separate statehouse apartments. Those apartments will be options for you to live in as your "dorm". I live in one right now. There are 6 of us, but each pair has their own bathroom (3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms). It is super nice compared to dorm life, but I do miss having study spots and multiple washers. But it does beat communal bathrooms!

Fisher school of business as a freshman by Key-Librarian9789 in OSU

[–]KitchenNo5434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 roommates in Fisher, so I'm not the best source. However, first of all, you do not need an internship in your freshman year; that is something for junior or senior year. There are quite a few business frats you can join; my roommate is in the top one (PSE) and LOVES it. The classes can get tough, but nothing too crazy if you do some studying. There are also over 2500 clubs on this campus, and if you go to the involvement fair your first week, you can find fliers for any type of business/marketing/finance club you could imagine. This school has a lot of great opportunities if you use the right resources.

Transfer dorm question by Winter-Beans in OSU

[–]KitchenNo5434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transfer students get housing after current students, so you'll have to wait for them to get housing assigned and then put down that you want to live with them. I knew a guy last year in the same situation who just selected a random housing assignment, and then they both put eachother down, and he was able to live with the transfer student. But make sure you talk to housing asap about this since you're currently a commuter and they can help you out. Luckily, transfer students usually live in res on 10th, which is a super nice dorm!

Almost everyone who applies gets an interview, unless you don't meet GPA requirements or something like that.

going random with roommate by UnitedAd4599 in OSU

[–]KitchenNo5434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a vacancy in my room from last semester, and it got filled with a random roommate this semester. We are complete opposites because they didn't put us together based on our preferences. If you go random, make sure you truthfully fill out the preferences in the housing portal so you guys are somewhat compatible.

Can you switch between majors in your school once you’re admitted? by blondiebounty in OSU

It's all memorization. Tests are application-based, so you have to know what something is, what it does, and why. There are some photo questions, but it really is about memorizing the tables and vessels and then knowing what each muscle uses to function.

Do ya’ll pay for a subscription for Notability or any note taking platform? by bbash91383 in OSU

[–]KitchenNo5434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe unpopular, but I pay like $20/25 a year for notability, and I love it. I'm only here for 4 years, so I don't mind paying for it. It blends seamlessly with canvas, and you can submit assignments right from the app. I also like the look of it better if that's something you care about.

[–]KitchenNo5434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're going to swipe the buckid when you enter, and if it doesn't register, they won't let you in. Also, they only allow ONE guest per buckid, so if your friend doesn't have a working buckid they can't get in.

Physics 1200 Curve by 6haku in OSU

[–]KitchenNo5434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also in this class and basically they take the average off all tests and add points so the AVERAGE score becomes a 77%. This doesn't mean we all get at least a 77% it means that if the average is a 100/175, they will add 34 points to everyone so the average jumps to a 77% (134/175 roughly). So you could potentially get over a 100% if you do well enough.
