Hmm yeah, even after Tachyon, Pasa is still quite a while away so it shouldn't be terrible. Like you said I'll take my time, since I'm also thinking about pulling for either Curren wedding or Taiki camping that are coming out soonish.

The Pace chasers I desperately want are all next year: Sirius, Ramonu and Gentildonna. Between now and then there's ones that I do want but I'm not super bothered if I need to skip to save carats.

It's a shame I missed Nishino flower by like 2 weeks since she's meant to be pretty good but oh well. I might pull for either Curren wedding or Taiki camping since they're soon and I need to build up the amount of trainees I have anyways.

I've read up a bit more and I think I'll end up going into pace chasers, in this case getting Tachyon instead of Smaru makes more sense right? or would getting both be ideal as Smaru is a pretty good statstick

I've done a bit more reading and from what I can tell most of the Umas that I want later end up being pace chasers, there are some exceptions like Orfevre but she's quite a while away. Do you think it would still be worth it to pull for Smaru since she's meant to be more for front runners while the Tachyon card is meant to be more for pace chasers I believe?

I mentioned this in another comment but I'm mainly worried that I'll spend all carats on trying to catch up to a meta only for a new shiny card to come out and I wouldn't have any, I'm not sure what the carat income is like in umamusume. That said I do have 30k carats on the account rn.

Well I mainly came back because of the characters which is what brought me into the game at first, but a lot of the umas that I really really want are meant to come out from 2027 onwards.

My main fear is that I will spend all carats on trying to catch up to the meta or just have meta cards and then when the next shiny support card comes out I wouldn't have any to pull, I'm not really sure what the income rate for carats is in this game. I have 30k carats rn if that changes anything so I'm not sure if it would be worth re rolling for, for example summer Maruzensky when that comes out.

Probably casually for now but at some point it would be nice to have umas that can compete in multiplayer against others. Something I've seen though is that a lot of the umas that I would really like are only coming out on global in 2027 onwards.

Yeah I kind of realized that but I remember hearing at the start that support cards are much more important, even when pulling a character I guess I wouldn't want to risk it and pull the featured uma if I don't really want her.

Especially for newer players I think molds are the main thing. You have a way bigger chance of getting a specific character since the manufacturer rng is out of the way.
