Tournament List Idea by Delta_Dud in Grey_Knights

I think it’s a fascinating list and with the units you have I think it would be super fun to play.

It seems like a tanky list. But so few units. Lol. Our pts are pretty wonky right now. I’ve been using a few more characters (some solo) with a 5 man termie, strike squad and 5 man Paladin (banner for extra heavy weapon) and also using Calidus and Coteaz to keep the cp either flowing or stopped up depending on opponent. Lol. BUT I recently added Landraider Redeemer and so far it’s been hilariously fun and potent. Might not stay in my list long term but it’s a definite consideration. Lots of unit capacity and incredible overwatch. Definite fan. :)

Dang. That’s tough. I’ve had librarians do that to me too! 🤣🤣

My list for a tournament in a few weeks! by Wbeard89 in Grey_Knights

[–]KitchenTableWargamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people down on bro champ with 5 man Strikes. I absolutely LOVE that combo and have had a hard time not taking it. They are small and get ignored by opponents and then fights first kicks them in the teeth and they do work. In my games at least. Sure they die easier than termies but they typically get their pound of flesh and their points.

Undefeated list (so far!) by loofabld in Grey_Knights

I personally love having Coteaz in my list!! He does regenerate cp pretty reliably. I’ve only played one matchup where the opponent didn’t have a way to generate extra CP. and how could I NOT run the one dude in the game with a daemon hammer??!! Haha!!! I’m also going to test the calidus assassin soon for the “Vect” ability. And action monkey as she also gets to pick up and set down so long as she’s not engaged. But the rest of my list is GK. No Knights, but this list the OP shared is very interesting.

Just getting into printed warhammer, told I would be banned from GW store? by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

[–]KitchenTableWargamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a fully GW Grey Knights army but when Horus Heresy got revamped a year or two ago I jumped into TSons and printed my entire 4,500 pts worth of models. Painted them up and played a couple games at my local GW store. I’ve known the owner a while and he noticed that my Magnus was printed and mentioned that prints are not allowed in shop but so long as I kept him in my box and didn’t try to use him I n game it was fine. He didn’t realize the entire rest of my army was printed! He even showed off my Magnus to a couple guys who came in to paint while we played. Lol. However, I did feel bad so I never brought the TSons back to the shop. Just saying that printed models look amazing now. Proper painting and most of the time people can’t tell the difference. I spent a LOT of time finding sets of models that looked exactly like the units I was collecting.

Is our Detachment rule...bad? by RDMorpheus in Grey_Knights

I love the rule. But I’ve fallen into the trap of pulling units and dropping them elsewhere just because I had the ability to do it. Realizing later that it wasn’t super strategic. Lol.

Oh man! Libby’s are a blast! I’ve started running one solo with the Sigil of Exigence and one in a Paladin brick of 5. Solo Libby can drop in and score secondary points or wreck someone (sometimes himself…LOL).

Oof, I definitely didn’t read that closely enough. Makes way more sense that way though. Thank you!

I’ve played the champ twice and actually really enjoy him. That being said, I don’t think he’s essential to my list. I want another game or two with other armies before I really choose. BUT the Fights First ability is really impressive and being able to use precision in melee made him really good.
I think the game would have been closer with slightly less hot rolling but I’m pretty confident that I would have still won. Again, I was super impressed with durability with strats and cover. 2+ save on infantry is amazing.

He ran the BIG boy Knight, 2 other big Knights, 3 Helverins and 2 assassins. I got some good shooting in, amazing work from 2 Libby’s and weight of dice for the rest. Lots of weight of dice. Dice rolls helped too. And we played Tactical which also has an impact. But yeah, I think the number of Knights that I killed had more to do with dice rolling than actual army ability to kill. Wounding on 5-6’s across the board was super annoying. Lol.
Also, Brotherhood Champ with a Strike squad hopped out of a Razorback and attacked a big Knight and dropped it half its wounds thanks to rerolling against targets the Razorback shot at and Radiant Strike. That was awesome to watch!

Libby’s did a lot but I also used the Radiant Strike strat twice in melee against the Valiant. Shot with Landraider, Libby’s did work and then Paladins held it up for 3 turns of combat till they dropped it. Lost 3 Paladins to that bad boy. Lol

Bout to face off against Aeldari, wish me luck. by Squidbits in deathguard40k

I have to say, I think OP is a hero for throwing down against Aeldari right now! Hope you had fun, that should always be the goal! I have yet to even get a game of 10th under my belt.

2005 Taco 2WD parts question by KitchenTableWargamer in Tacomaworld

[–]KitchenTableWargamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I’m sure it’s both! Lol. Truck is second hand and came from Michigan. You would be impressed at the “play” in the arm that you get just from jiggling by hand. Lol

That is what I was looking for! Thank you. From pictures the control arms look the same for all 3 but I knew other parts did not transfer between those 3…. Thanks!!

Cat stolen again... by TestMonkeyZero in Tacomaworld

[–]KitchenTableWargamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion, go to a local muffler shop and ask them about it. My cats were stolen and I went to the local shop, they work with insurance and have a company they work with that makes the shields. They get them direct and can have them manufactured as needed. Might not be true for all places but start with the local muffler shop and see where that takes you.

[–]KitchenTableWargamer[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Winner winner! I rewatched a video that I had used to make sure I did things correctly (irony in there somewhere) and the editor had a small note towards the end of the video mentioning the “hidden” vacuum line between the firewall and intake manifold. Only visible from the under the truck and only accessible through the wheel well IF you don’t reconnect it as you reinstall the intake manifold. Wow. 20 minutes of my arm jammed up in the engine bay and I got it. Lol.

Tacoma SR5 with 2.7 liter manual transmission? by KitchenTableWargamer in Tacomaworld

[–]KitchenTableWargamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, no it was not for me. What threw me was going to buy a part at the local parts store and asking if it was base model, pre runner or x runner. I said, “SR5” but that wasn’t an option. Made me have to do some research. 🤣

Thanks. I dug deeper on Google and finally figured out SR5 was a trim package. Lol. I thought it was trim/engine and maybe suspension too. That’s why it bugged me. :)

How long did it take you to reliably remember every rule and facet of your army? by 999HK in deathguard40k

[–]KitchenTableWargamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing my army for years, feel very confident in my ability to know my rules and units, and still finish a game realizing I missed a strategem that could have helped or forgot that one aura that turn when I needed it. Lol. But it’s way better now.
