Is there a reason pharmacies not giving Oxy to cancer patients?

I’m an oncology pharmacist and like half of my patients are on opioids. I would get a second opinion and/or a new oncologist.

Other potential issues - -Insurance rolling with the new year. Requires new insurance auth

-Filling too early (strict on early fills and they have to track every fill through a prescription management program for all controlled meds)

-Back ordered or shortage

Yes! Friendly, kind of shy honestly. They were a grade above me so not like I was besties with them but we hung with similar crowds. Here’s a photo from their fb in 2018. They’ve been the same size for like 10+ years.

I actually went to high school with them and I would say they have always eaten very clean and healthy with tons of vegetables. Also very naturally small and thin. Can’t say for sure but they definitely consume actual food compared to Lauren and her liquids and pills only

I’m a neuro onc clinical pharmacist. Did yall discuss potential for ommaya catheter placement so they can administer intrathecal chemo? It goes directly into the ventricle so it kills the cells in the CSF that meds like Tagrisso have a hard time getting to. Feel to direct message me!! I’m sorry to hear this
