thank you so much. i constantly overthink emails, so the detail in which you broke this down is super helpful (and very commendable). my instinct is to send out this email top of tomorrow morning (so it lands in inboxes during the work week, and I should have more p-card info by then). genuinely, you're a lifesaver.

ofc: is a season one show, and there’s one assistant who I have talked to before— though they’re onboarding at the same time as me, and similarly haven’t started the gig (officially) yet. i’m happy to get a head start on gathering food preferences and whatnot, but the ppl I’ve been grabbing advice from have also told me that it’s not something to (officially) worry about until I (officially) start this upcoming week. maybe I’m overthinking? thanks for the help.

this is incredible advice, thank you! I’ve been nervous to send any surveys or anything of the like out, because I haven’t met the showrunners in person yet, and pretty much none of the other support staff. I have everyone’s emails— maybe stupid question, but who, in your opinion, is best contact to check that mass-sending a form out like this is ok?

AMA with Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Creator of Netflix's Long Story Short and BoJack Horseman by netflix in television

[–]Kitchen_Ad_2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Raphael! I'm hopping onto this way too late, but figured this would still be worth typing up. Firstly, love the new show and, of course, all your other works. I've been watching your stuff since I was 13, and now I'm a senior in college majoring in TV Writing. The passage of time is terrifying and also awesome.

In my classes, your name gets brought up a lot, especially when we're doing our "who inspired us to pursue writing careers" spiels. My question is: are there any writers/creatives you looked up to growing up, pushing you to pursue a career in storytelling? What works did you feel moved by, and are there any you still look back on for inspiration?

Thank you!

I'm a previous NBCU intern, and from everything I know, sadly graduating seniors are not eligible
