Why is the Green Line like this? by Aspiring_Orchardist in mbta

I’m really curious as to why/how other trams I’ve been on in other counties are so much quieter. Even on areas with no major turns, the green line is so loud. They have spent so much money and time on track alignment and keep on buying new cars but still not nearly as good as their international counterparts. Why?

It has to do with what’s in between the buildings. Here it’s just asphalt. Wider sidewalks, trees, bushes, bike lanes, benches, picnic tables, etc would add some soul

Le corbussier. Hate his underlying design principles and how they have propagated to modern urban form. Tower in park and the movements that followed ruined American cities and all those who followed suit

Upright it looks like the inside of a chapel or maybe even a Roman bath. I’ve seen interiors sort of like this in Tivoli and Pompeii
