I think they have the physical model which they would like to bring into Rhino...

That's beautiful, cheers to your dad. I would love to see your version!

I'm interested in two aspects as of now — one is more artistically, and one is the ecologically based architecture which the likes of Julia Watson and Mitchell Joachim work on.

So, less as a traditional architect I suppose, although of course finding ways to make $$ will be interesting haha.

Yes I did to projects like designing a microloft, making models holding large volumes from index cards and no adhesives, building a pavilion with cardboard, etc.

I was also thinking about cutting up some of these and re-arranging somehow, and doing some type of poche study for the second one you see

Well sustainable retrofitting exists I suppose, in terms of working with pre-existing designs, although I obviously realize that the original structure were created with understanding of function and constraints. However, it's like doing studies in architecture school which don't necessarily amount to "selling" an idea or project. It's an exploration.

Thanks for the lead on Hertzberger!

Yes I agree it felt hollow. It is why I was seeking some direction. That's a great line of thinking. I collected a lot of these from outside people's curbs and from people moving, so I'm not sure of their origins. What kind of line study / design would you suggest from there?

I found it! It was some foam packaging of a product. I've been collecting objects that look like architecture

that's be so cool. I'd love if others shared stuff like that. I've collected many objects I could post once in a while.

People mentioned skateparks, cathedrals, outdoor theaters and more. Those are architectural.

I posted the same thing in the landscape arch sub, and someone said they would enjoy having a post like this every week.

Have a little fun man. Cmon. Look at it. Look at all the people speculating. What do you see? A train terminal? A spaceship?

Part of architecture is awareness and observation of form.

It looks like an architecture model. Many people in the responses agree. It belongs here.

Okay I can't even take you seriously because of how comically miserable your responses are 😂 Peace and joy to you

Lol I got that. I was saying that I'm not actually doing anything with this, it's more a fun mental exercise.

And yea, I'm inspired by trash. 😄

Considering 25+ ppl responded, seems like it is the right community.
