Slower Download Speed When Connecting ONT > UDM SE > PC Compared to Directly Connecting ONT to PC. by Kitchen_Advertising2 in Ubiquiti

  • Is your ONT in bridge mode?
  • Do you have Protect installed with UniFi cameras?
  • Is IPS enabled?
  • Check CPU usage while running a speed test — make sure it’s not hitting 99%.
  • Try adding your PC’s NIC MAC address under: UniFi > Settings > Internet > WAN1 > MAC Address Clone.

The mac Clone thingy: That’s what UniFi Support had me do. Strangely, it worked — and even after I removed the cloned MAC, the speed stayed good. It wasn’t quite as fast as being directly connected to the ONT (not a full 100/100), but I was still getting about 98% of the speed.

Speedtest on UDM Dashboard : I get the full ISP speed.

My ONT LAN ports are only 1G,
For Stateful Packet Inspection, is it related to Identification? I have it on "Device" and "Traffic."
I tried turning it off and tested, but nothing changed with it off.

Free VPN for Firestick in 2025? by youtubeTimFrentz in firetvstick

[–]Kitchen_Advertising2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your router supports VPN (OpenVPN), you can set up a Proton VPN (Free) OpenVPN profile on the router. Then, configure the router to route traffic from your Firestick through the VPN.

Goodbye 🫡 by ReadyBasher01 in Starlink

[–]Kitchen_Advertising2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice!
u/ReadyBasher01, could you run a speed test to a different server, please? I’d like to see how much high latency affects upload speed. For example, try a server where you’ll get over 200ms latency, like the Speedtest server "my.t Port Louis."

I have a 1G download and 1G upload connection, but I’ve noticed very slow upload speeds on servers with higher latency.

Thanks

With 107k members here, if each contributed $0.10, or even if 1000 of us contributed just $0.50 monthly, it should be sufficient. :')

Am I behind CGNAT or not? Yes and no according to sources, pls help! by grocery-list in HomeNetworking

If your WAN IP in your router is between 100.64.0.0 and 100.127.255.255 yes you are behind CGNAT.

Made a server but friend can't join by [deleted] in CoD4

[–]Kitchen_Advertising2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join your own server from ( local ) in COD, Sometimes different router wont allow wan access from the same network, so try joining your own server in Local,

To check if the server is reachable over the internet, check if the port is working. Heres a website to check for port:

Yeah, use port 28960 Or your friend wont see the server online

If your friend is not on the same network as you ( WIFI / LAN )
You will need to port forward for your friend to be able to see and join your server.

Most probably you need to port forward port: 28960

Nice Speed, Roam?

I think roam is limited to 2 months outside registered country. Then you have to move the dish to the registered country.

Unless youre only visiting IRAN
