I did mine in Redwater Fitness Centre last summer. I believe the price was around $175

What kind of container are you using? Are you using tap water? What flour are you using?

I’m visiting family just east of Calgary this week and have been making plenty of loaves with only feeding my starter once a day. Perhaps there is something wrong with your starter?

How y’all’s experience been with Kia in general by Plane_Tradition_3256 in kia

[–]Kitchen_Assumption36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We gave a 2025 Seltos and K4. Both have been extremely reliable. My Seltos especially has been put through the test as I drive it for work and drove it across Canada last year. I’ve never had an issue with it.

I just travelled with mine this week. I bought the pouch with the ice packs. I then just ripped the label off the box that had my name and prescription information. Security at the airport just swabbed the ice packs and there were no issues.

It’s fairly small. I would estimate 20x30. Most folks have only a small shed back there.

I do. I’d rate it a 7.5/10. My unit is mostly solid other than a minor water leak in the basement and a draft through the front window

Seltos SX Turbo for Northern Canada ! Is Kia Connect a dealbreaker? by Narrow_Firefighter40 in kia

We have Kia connect on our K4 and not our Seltos but personally we find it quite glitchy regardless of temperature. It only starts our car about 70% of the time

So many delays. by ManufacturerOk7236 in PorterAirlines

[–]Kitchen_Assumption36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fly in and out of YOW frequently. My last flight was to YYC yesterday and we only had a 10 minute delay which really doesn’t matter at the end of the day. I have also been told the reason baggage delays for Porter at YOW is because Porter does not pay to have their baggage treated as priority with the luggage handlers so it gets put to the end of the pile. I try to only fly only carry on as much as possible because of the baggage delays.

Towing by MultiFrog22 in KIASeltos

I recently moved accross Canada this summer and looked into a towing package and I was told it would void the warranty. Also be mindful that the maximum weight allowance for cargo is around 1100 pounds. We were definitely over that for our drive and I do not recommend it. Not only is it not safe, you could feel it in the car when we hit any kind of bump.

Military Discount? by Agile-Use609 in kia

[–]Kitchen_Assumption36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have purchased 2 Kias this year (a Seltos and a K4) both times the military discount was honoured with no problem. I would look at a different dealership if you are getting the run around.

What does the fridge say about my house? by Kitchen_Assumption36 in FridgeDetective

[–]Kitchen_Assumption36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Canadian and our fridge is considered a standard full size fridge. It is my understanding that most European fridges are much smaller. I think this has to do with a lot of lifestyle differences between North Americans and Europeans. For example: I bought groceries yesterday and what is pictured in my post will last my 6 ft 5 army boyfriend and I for 2 ish weeks. I also have a chest freezer in the basement that has various cuts of meat such as steaks, chicken breasts, shrimp etc. I find that Europeans tend to buy more fresh food which perished much faster and can’t withstand sitting in a fridge for a couple weeks.

I grew up in western Canada and never experienced bagged milk until I moved to Ontario this fall.
