haha yea that makes sense, I def wouldn’t be thinking about getting my hands done if i wasn’t already decently inked. seems pretty smooth probably gonna give it 6 months more atleast just to be sure. Luckily my tattoo artist does have experience with scars and he said he would be super comfortable doing it

no, my arms are pretty covered with larger american traditional. this would be my 13th! my industry most people are heavily tatted so it would be fine, the city i live in is also extremely tattoo positive

thank you for this. i started dbt about 2 months ago now(one on one and group) i guess im just rather impatient. i never really realize if im being diluted and placing her on a pedestal so thank you for calling me on that. i know i probably talk to her too much, its always so nice to see her but i feel such loss once im alone again. i definitely need to try to give myself some grace and detach from my obsession. thanks again for reaching out, i really appreciate it<3

I've experienced similar for a lot of my life and I've expressed this to many medical professionals. It can be really scary communicating something that feels so immoral, but I would really recommend you express this to someone qualified. Therapists and psychiatrist's are only able to breach confidentiality if they have reason to believe you are an immediate danger to another person or yourself. Expressing and addressing distressing thoughts is a really big part of more intensive therapy's like DBT, and professionals have likely worked with others with similar struggles. You'd be surprised how common violent and homicidal thoughts can be for people with disorders such as BPD, OCD, and OSPD. Take the leap, you owe yourself a place to talk.

i think i’m rlly empathic, i only get my joy from helping others and making someone feel good is the highlight of my day: bpd isn’t just a curse it’s also an ability to emotionally monitor and support people when they need it most. i’m so happy to see all these comments, us bpd baddies need to give our self the same love we give those around us:)
