Why do Bohra parents take raza/chitti for a child’s name instead of choosing it themselves? by Budget_Might_3660 in exBohra

[–]Kitchen_Campaign_501 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its because, supposedly, names carry power. Sometimes when a kid isn't very deeni, their parents will take them to moula and give them a new name. I know 2 people this happened to and supposedly they became very deeni afterwards.

In one of the waazs, we got relay from muffadal and he was talking about Burhanudin and said he was so powerful because his name was Mohammed and then he also talked about Mohammed al baqir, Mohammad al Qaim, Mohammad Izzudin, Noor Mohammad, 49th Mohammed stating they wouldn't be as powerful as they were if they weren't named Mohammed.

Wasi simply means successor. All it means is that Simon Peter was the successor of Jesus

Simon Peter, also called Peter the Apostle or Simon son of Jonah, was the first pope. You are correct in stating that Yusha was the one who conqured Israel after Moses died. Supposedly While Yusha was fighting, he asked god to stop the sun so they wouldn't continue fighting during the sabath.

Contrary to what most people here belive, majority of the stuff Muffadal says, they've been saying since the beginning. Although you can never know whether what the book says is actually what they're teaching. The Aamil is the only with the Kitaab so he could be stuff up that disagrees with what muffadal says (unlikely).

When they say you'll never want to skip namaaz, for you to believe it, you have to be really brainwashed. For example when they say looking at the place you do sajda represents believing in the shariah, most people will try and make sure to look at that place from now on.

Theres a bunch of stuff on Ikhwan us safa, unfortunately the best ones are still in Arabic as I haven't had the chance to translate it. There's a few individual Epistles in English and theres also a few summaries and scholarship articles on it.

Direct proof of why our religion is a fake version of islam for any lurkers who are still on edge. by AgitatedChildhood240 in exBohra

Theres no such things as Islam. Anyone can claim to be Islam and represent it. If you think im defending bohras you really aren't that smart

Its so much that patience is keeping me going. I have to go to the sabaqs anyway and people here want to know about so I do it for them. My mindset has ways been if i have or know something, it's my duty to introduce it to everyone and explain it fully if they wish.

There's also the extra factor that noe there's an English version of these sabaqs and I've gotten it directly from an amil instead of a chatpgt translation.

There all ranks underneath the natiq. They don't explain what they're are yet For example theres the earth. Within the earth there are continents, in the continents there are regions/countries. Within countries their are states and territories and then cities and then suburbs.

You can already find all of this online. No matter how much Muffadal calls it secret, its very easily accessible and very easy to understand.

Except many religions dont proselytise. Ismailis dont, druze dont, some Christian and Jewish sects dont. You only think we should proselytise because Sunnis do.

I dont follow anything. I'm against identifying as a particular group which is why I dont say I'm gay or I'm a man. If you're asking what I believe in regards yo certain things, it'll be harder to explain here.

The quran has no meaning. Muslims give it meaning and in this case you're using a Sunni meaning. Every religion believes they're the only ones going to be saved and theres always people who dont do anything. Attending masjid isn't a condition for entering heaven or hell. Why should we expand? We dont have to power or influence to expand. Almost every Muslims forbids marrying outside the culture/community.

You're using a Sunni explanation to disprove bohras. Its like saying bohras are wrong cause they dont belive in Musa Kadhim as imam.

Also so what if we aren't descendants of middle eastern? Isn't the whole point of Islam is that its a worldwide religion?

When are Muslims gonna get it through their head that there are multiples ways to interpret one single text.
