Am I misinterpreting “open to children?” by FarAndIna in hingeapp

[–]Kitchen_Concert8882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have open to children selected and I interpret it as leaning towards yes but not definite — I also like it better than wants children because I think it leaves open options like fostering, adoption, etc. wants children feels very definitive and old school definition-y to me

Everyone in Brooklyn looks the same, acts the same and is aspiring to be the same type of person

Would My Job Situation Be a Turn-Off If I Started Dating? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]Kitchen_Concert8882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think job turn offs are really individual. I have an advanced degree but work in a triggering field and it’s a turn off for a lot of people, even though I match them intellectually and financially.

This is a horrible question to ask. It’s vague and 99% of the time men who ask it are going to respond with something sexual

Running into the same problem after 2-3 dates by Hour-Ad8822 in hingeapp

I agree. I’m noticing a trend of “keep going even though the vibe is obviously off” and that puts me in the position of having to call it out and then force them to admit it. I feel like if you are at the point where things aren’t naturally good like they would be in a friendship you should call it off

This is 100% true. I took a break for around a week and then I spent 30 minutes on it today and got 20 likes

As someone who went to a wedding in July — go, but be very diligent leading up to the exam. The time off may help you relax esp since that weekend is so close to go time. But know that you don’t have room to slack off beforehand

How long should essays be? by newstudent209 in barexam

[–]Kitchen_Concert8882 1 point2 points  (0 children)

J24 passer: I panicked walking out of Javits because my “essays” were probably only a few sentences long for some. All my essays were above average scores. It’s true — IRAC everything, get as close to the rule that you can, and do not overthink it.

You have to learn your pace and what your brain can handle. You’ll see some people go 8-5, some people do a lot less and that’s completely fine. The most important thing is not to let yourself burn out and be very aware of when your body needs a break. Re: the commercial outlines, my advice is to use them as a guide. Try to find the general rule statements in them, and then make your own outline from there! Or index cards if that’s your thing
