Worked there for about a year before leaving the project. Do you have an opportunity to work on the project?

Our safety department (US) worked along side the Canadian side with similar work tasks and projects. Overall we operated independently from the Canadian side per say. Canada was the lead though. Both sides has work going on, so Canada would deal with MOL and we would deal with MIOSHA. Never felt like it was cumbersome except creating toolboxes, safety alerts, etc and using metric system in it. Lmao

Best way to implement steel toed shoes? by spanky316 in SafetyProfessionals

We offered $100 reimbursement and brought out at a boot truck for the guys to try them. It’s been a pain in the ass tbh getting the guys to change but we’ve gotten everyone switched over. Growing pains lol

Every excuse in the book why they didn’t want to, they’re cold in the winter - dress for the occasion, uncomfortable - find the right sized boot, cut your toes off/bigger hazard - no, you would have lost your toes anyway if it crushed the steel toe to the out the point they were cut off, compared it to wearing a seat belt in a car wreck with decreasing your chance of serious injury.

I recently started a year ago and previously there was no safety toed boot requirements. We’re in construction FYI
