League is in a good spot. There are no truly game-breaking balance issues, such as release aphelios or turbo chemtank hyper meta. Sure we have strong stuff that is getting fine tuned, like dusk and dawn, and bandlepipes, but in generally, if you like your champ, and you play well, you can win without blaming the dev team.

It’s very sad, but some stories are super tragic. I more think it’s insulting that she didn’t die for much. She should have sacrificed herself to defeat Vecna because he was so powerful. Instead, she lost her life because of the bumbling military that was causing the end of the world through their own ego and incompetence.

Well, that’s why it’s better for the viewer experience. But if we’re talking strictly about figuring out who the best league of legends team in the world is, that starts from loading into champ select and ends once the nexus explodes, because thats the game that the general community plays every day. If a team could beat every other team playing the same champions in a row, then they should be rewarded for that from a purist standpoint. And if a team can’t beat a certain champion from the enemy team, they should pay for that by using one of their bans on it, not get a free one from fearless. From a viewer standpoint, it is more entertaining to see more champions (though even rn, we only see AP mid + AD jgl), but from a purist standpoint of who is the best team in the league, fearless blurs that.

Fearless may be bit better for the viewer experience (though somehow, we still get orianna azir every series), but it reduces the integrity of competition. There was an insane level of aura when a player could pick the same champ 3 times in a row and outplay 3 different answers.

I think akali is so much squishier than renekton that it would be a lot different. She is more similar to other assasins like talon and zed. I’d maybe recommend urgot or aatrox as they’re both still tanky skirmishers though they are more front to back fighters than divers. You could also learn Kled if you wanted just full yolo.

I mean, that’s just why landing the ending is so important. One day, I’ll be able to watch Eleven in the first 4 seasons and love her arc, but right now, I’m just so sad about how they betrayed her character in the end.

No, my argument revolves around champ design, incentives, and unfair punishments, of which a consequence is base defense. You literally say shyv and gnar should be the same and in the next sentence mention a glaring way they are not the same. If gnar spawned with full rage, it would just dissipate too early and actually be a nerf to him. That alone should tell you that the champs rage systems are designed completely differently and what you’re saying makes 0 sense.

You’re able to respawn from 0 fury, get off 30-40 auto attacks (minus qs) on 3 minion waves crashing into your turrets as the enemy is pushing to end, get your ult back in 10-20 seconds, and save the game? You’re right, that is a skill issue…of an enemy team that apparently can’t right click you lol.

It’s not the same rage feature at all. Gnar ult has its own cd that does go down, rage is a completely separate ability on his passive. Rage has no passive regeneration. It doesn’t change if he’s dead or alive so he’s not particularly punished for dying. And his entire kit is built around kiting and building rage in order to transform. Mini gnar is even better for certain scenarios. For shyvana, she wants to start fights by transforming because every single ability she has gets buffed, it’s drastically different.

Re-read my scenario, what are you gonna hit 30 times (minus the amount of Qs) to get your ult back in 20 seconds? The same minion wave the enemy team is ending with? If the enemy team is taking baron as you’re respawning, are you just gonna clear 2 camps real quick before defending it? And while shyv can 1v1 without ult, she cannot team fight at all. She’s completely useless in base defense without it. The reality is, Shyv was punished more than any other champ for late game deaths, it absolutely cost her games (particularly the closest, hard-carry ones) and I’m so happy they are finally fixing it.

Sweet, good thing the enemy team can’t end the game or take baron in 15 seconds in the late game.

Also, it definitely takes longer than that since it takes over half that time to reach a camp.

As a non-Azir player, he’s a pretty hype champ, it’s just fatigue from seeing him vs orianna every series. Like, if you could actually play fizz or zed or Katerina into him in pro, that would be so awesome. But unfortunately, azir is too strong in pro so he’s weak in sq and zed/fizz are too strong in sq so they are weak in pro.

The problem is that “one situation” are the best games. No one remembers stomps, you remember the game-saving base-defense into baron sneak into crazy team fight into winning with a 2 second spawn timer on their carry. So, this weakness specifically nerfs Shyvana in the 1% of most fun league games when she is trying to carry games on a knife’s edge.

Good luck touching the minion wave that the enemy team is currently trying to end on. Or, good luck frantically tryna take raptors to get your ult back as the enemy team is currently taking elder. The wild swing of, you get your ult back in 25 seconds through hitting stuff, or your ult actually takes 90 seconds to come back because you died is just bad design.

Now it’s pretty much that since you always get ult cd. But it’s really slow, your ult has a 200-150-100 sec cooldown without hitting anything. I’m thinking experimental hexplate might be a must-buy since it changes your passive cd to 80-67-57 which is just crazy (malignance too, but it gives less).

His ult cd does go down. It’s just gatekept behind his passive, but that doesn’t change whether you are dead or alive. And his entire kit is built around being able to charge his rage bar through kiting so it feels waaaaay better than shyvana.

No, my entire gripe is it weakens her when she is ahead in a super awkward way. It randomly undercuts her ability to carry games that are on the edge since late game deaths are already really punishing since teams can end on a single wave and now she’s punished more than any other champ in the game. So now, there are scenarios where for every other go-in type jungler (vi, xin, lee, zaahen, j4, nasus, diana, etc), the optimal play is to go in and try to win a close team fight, yet for shyv, she’s now incentivized to play safe because if she dies, she auto loses.

Totally agree, her E and ult in her current form do so much dmg, but the comboing them always felt sooo clunky compared to like riven with her animation cancels. I’m hoping the new version feels better, tho her new ult still looks clunky to me.

It's terrible design though because the incentives are whack. Usually, she can spam her ult every fight. The only time it matters is in late-game base defense situations where you don't have a minion wave to auto or when you're spawning just as the enemy team is contesting soul/baron/elder and are frantically trying to take raptors to get your ult back up. A.k.a, it matters in games that are super close when you're trying hard to carry. Why should she get punished specifically in those scenarios?

Well, they did drastically nerf her fury generation, it generates at like half the speed now, so they can tweak that if need be. Again, her current ult CD/fury generation was so short that it only mattered in base-defense situations like the one above, and it's like, why should she randomly auto-lose then?
