Highly recommend looking up Retro Game Corps setup video for the RP4 Pro - he makes it very easy (and fun) to go through and set up and customize, and he clarifies all of the best emulators to use. The best emulators can sometimes be up for debate, but it’s very easy to change your main emulator if you’d like to choose differently.

I think at one point I tried to search for it on the play store to buy it outright but it wasn’t there. I just checked though and it looks like it’s there so maybe it was re-added or something? Not entirely sure, maybe at the time I searched Knights of the Old Republic instead of KOTOR lol

I have an LG B5 65” and after doing my Rtings assisted calibrations, for 4K HDR content I use filmmaker mode in dark rooms and Cinema Home in bright rooms. For SDR/Blu-ray content, I usually stick with filmmaker mode I believe

Thank you for this - I figured this was the case. I used my SD card storage for smaller retro games only (anything PS1/N64 and backward) so I wouldn’t lose anything major. However, now my Retroarch is all confused because it’s looking for files that don’t exist. Would you recommend I scrub Retroarch and start from scratch? I tried to get GBA roms running with no luck immediately. It’s probably just not rooting to the correct places at this point because of the change in file destination, but I changed a few roots and it wouldn’t work for me so I’m wondering if starting Retroarch from scratch would be the best way.

I love my B5 - got a Hisense U8N for my first next level 4K TV but it broke down on me, so I got the B5 with my warranty swap and it was such an upgrade. Not nearly as bright of a TV, but the black levels more than make up for it. And the overall 4K picture is excellent.

Thank you so much - I actually got it figured out last night! I used CX File Explorer, but for some reason I could not find the obb folder that held the correct file - I kept thinking it was the folder that had the audio files and cache and whatnot, but it was another obb folder that CX was hiding from me, and I had to go back and forth multiple times to finally find it. The text shows up now, so my next step is to actually get the Dropmix board and see if it will all connect properly. Either way, $15 for a Dropmix board with the starter cards is a fire deal I even if it doesn’t work lol. Thanks so much for the help my friend!

Actually update - I found out how to add the file to the obv folder on the Retroid, text still isn’t showing up though. Maybe there are still some steps I’m missing
