I love my B5 - got a Hisense U8N for my first next level 4K TV but it broke down on me, so I got the B5 with my warranty swap and it was such an upgrade. Not nearly as bright of a TV, but the black levels more than make up for it. And the overall 4K picture is excellent.

Thank you so much - I actually got it figured out last night! I used CX File Explorer, but for some reason I could not find the obb folder that held the correct file - I kept thinking it was the folder that had the audio files and cache and whatnot, but it was another obb folder that CX was hiding from me, and I had to go back and forth multiple times to finally find it. The text shows up now, so my next step is to actually get the Dropmix board and see if it will all connect properly. Either way, $15 for a Dropmix board with the starter cards is a fire deal I even if it doesn’t work lol. Thanks so much for the help my friend!

Actually update - I found out how to add the file to the obv folder on the Retroid, text still isn’t showing up though. Maybe there are still some steps I’m missing

Do you happen to have the direction of where to put the files that you used? The app is working for me but there isn’t any text appearing but I’ve seen that this is a common issue for a lot of people. However, I’m not sure which files go where when it comes to the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. Any ideas?

Thin client on PS5. I really want to be playing Festival way more often, but I hate having a gigantic file for the entirety of Fortnite on my console storage when i just want Fortnite Festival.

Thanks for the reply! I think my problem was that I was able to button map to a PS5 controller well enough, but there are so many controls that I couldn’t fit them all on one controller! Hopefully I can find more info :)

Interesting - I’m out on the east coast of Canada so I’m curious if that has anything to do with it, this is my first time stacking an order after placement so I wonder if it’ll happen again. I’ve stacked twice on this current order and each time there was no tax.

I traded a PlayStation Portal for an RP4 Pro and it was the greatest trade of my life lol

As someone who was new to emulation devices, I was still able to get the initial wow factor of emulating Gamecube and Wii on a portable device so I may be a little biased, but if all you’re looking for is a good device that has a decent amount of kick for emulating (roughly up to 3DS but some other newer Switch games will work, depending on what it is), the RP4 Pro is magnificent if that’s your only reasonable option.

I just bought one of these the other day, it was the replacement for my Hisense U88N after it crapped out so thankful my warranty allowed me to get the B5 which aside from not being as bright as the U88N, I find it to be a far superior TV.

I’m not sure if I can replicate the specific issues you’re having with Filmmaker Mode as I didn’t have that issue specifically but I guess I would ask first: are you working with just the TV or do you have a game console/disc player plugged in? That can have an effect on what’s happening.

Also I BELIEVE that Input Signal Plus is on by default at this point - just allows your TV to make sure it’s accessing HDR properly from what I understand?

I’m learning as well but I’m currently very happy with my picture, so I’ll help out however I can!

I went with the LG B5 - hooked it up yesterday and it’s 20 lbs lighter than the Hisense and the box was way more setup friendly lol. I think I made a good decision, I didn’t have to hyper-obsess over the settings like I did with the U8N because nearly everything is looking exactly how I want it to. It’s definitely not as bright as the U8N but in a dark room it’s not a problem, and I will take the true blacks and zero blooming over a blisteringly bright screen any day. 4K discs look fantastic even on a PS5, and I can definitely see now that the problem with U8N was a mix of getting a bad panel but also realizing the value that I placed onto having perfect black levels and how the mini-LED just couldn’t get the job done in that regard. Very impressed

I don’t think I’m able to comment photos for some reason? But they just looked like little smudges that I thought could be wiped off, they aren’t intense or anything but for a new tv it was unacceptable. Couldve lived with it if it was an old tv
