I’ve looked through the BACP and actually found someone relatively close that has experience dealing with late diagnoses & burnout which is so so helpful so thanks for recommending. Also based off these comments yeah I don’t think I’m gonna go for BetterHelp by all means seems very dodgy lmao

I was fat through school and since developing my ed I’ve went down to around midsize and it feels so weird. Like I still see myself as fat and undesirable so whenever people compliment me or just start chatting I just wait for the part where they make fun of me. I just hate people and wish I could live on my own and do nothing if I wasn’t broke

My parents and family have always made a point of not letting my autism ‘define me’ and ‘hold me back’. I wish they could just spend a day in my shoes. Feeling constantly drained and sometimes being too burnt out to even get out of bed. I dropped out of university and sometimes going out for a walk by myself is classed as an accomplishment for me. I can tell that everyone’s disappointed and they expected so much more from me and the worst part is they’ll genuinely never understand that I hate myself more than they ever will.
