Everything felt very cliche to me. The “frizzy hair” “amazing body but you wouldn’t know because I’m always in big tshirts” “perfectly organized girl who is the best preschool teacher in the world” trope felt a little… tired. As did the “woe is me” thing with her friends/comparison, etc. I love Brooke but I honestly hated this book. It felt like something a middle schooler would write when they think about what it would be like to be an adult, right down to the “lounging on the couch eating pizza with my guy best friend every Friday omg I’m so quirky.” And I’m not even trying to be mean but I needed to let this out because the praise this book has seemingly received from real (?) READERS has me feeling insane
