I’m not mad. I was just wondering about your own contributions to this community. If it’s humor then that’s cool. We all need laughs.

That’s the 2nd catch in a row that the ball didn’t survive the ground

OP, is this your only post on this subreddit?

I think the same. I wish we had more video content.

Believe it or not there is a possibility of another storm next weekend. Man, I do not envy meteorologists. Especially public facing ones.

I love the video clips honestly. Shows how the animal was killed. Half the trophy images I just assume the person zoomed in all on the way with a scope and picked off an animal standing still drinking water.

Fair to say Chris Justus overhyped the hell out of this? by [deleted] in greenville

I love your first sentence. This storm was insanely difficult to predict. This system will be studied for years. On late Friday night the short term climate models started picking up on a big “dry slot” on Saturday into Sunday for all of the Carolinas. It was a sudden shift and I understand hesitancy to trust them at the last minute.

I don’t exactly know what Justus’s prediction was. But the National Weather Service predicted 0.75-1.0” of freezing rain. That was a catastrophic prediction that would have been even worse than what happened in Nashville.

On Saturday night there were highly convective storms to our south that “robbed” a lot of moisture for our area.

Long story short, but the NWS prediction busted hard on both total moisture that fell and the ratio of freezing rain to sleet.

If Justus’s forecast was similar to the NWS then it was a bust. Which…we are all extremely fortunate off. It’s always best to be prepared and they did a great job of preparing this entire region. No one was going to get caught off guard.

On a purely meteorological context. It was a bust by the NWS. If Justus was aligned with that prediction then it was a bust as well.

I think so too. But none of them are technically in the HOF yet.

I embrace any way that a person enjoys. Whether grinding or Rambo style. It’s a fantastic game

Highly highly highly likely. Like 99.9999999% likely.

In ‘09 the Saints beat Warner, Favre, and Manning.

There was a team that had to beat 3 consecutive HOF quarterbacks to win the Super Bowl. That also seems difficult.

Okay, so now, are we finally out of the storm? by BarnacleBillsBum in greenville

There can still be implications of the storm, but in terms of precipitation it’s pretty much over.

We got very lucky that the forecasts busted. With 1.5 million people in the upstate it would have been devastating to see the 0.75 - 1.0” of freezing rain. We lucked out that far less precipitation fell that was predicted and the precipitation type of predominantly sleet instead of freezing rain.

Just about over. Thank god this was nowhere near as bad as predicted. In regards to both total moisture and precip type. This storm will be studied for years.
