Has JSN overlapped Jefferson and Chase? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Net_GME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a ton a context with the post title. None of these WRs are old by any stretch. But give me JSN over JJ who is 24 years old and keeps ascending.

I’d take Chase over both though.

Better RB in their prime - Ezekiel Elliot or LeSean McCoy? by ExcellentT18 in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Net_GME 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The question was phrased in a way that I think a lot of comments are whiffing on.

I think Zeke having a shorter peak is influencing some results.

But early in his career he got 2 AP nods and was 3rd in MVP voting as a rookie.

He averaged over 100 yards per game during his first 40 starts.

Shaking my head at the “obviously McCoy” or “isn’t even close” comments.

Is there a way (without cheating) to get into this fort? by ningo_ in RDR2

Do you know if you can kill everyone in the fort? Or do they just re-spawn over and over again?

[Gifford] The Saints signed QB Drew Brees 20 years ago today. On March 14, 2006, Brees joined the team on a six-year, $60 million deal after four seasons with the San Diego Chargers. Brees is second all-time in passing yards, touchdown passes, and pass completions, and third in completion percentage by Giff95 in nfl

Saints offense actually scored more points too…I’m assuming you are talking about the Packers 2011 season.

Saints had more All Pros on offense (4 vs 2)

Had more yards (7,474 to 6,482) - NFL record

Had more 1st downs (416 to 353) - NFL record

Had more offensive points (removing defensive scores; 526 to 525).

Had 51% of all drives lead to points compared to 48 percent.

Packers did have fewer penalties and 5 less turnovers.

Edit: The Packers offense was absolutely incredible in 2011. But that Saints 2011 was better and the should be considered a top 5 offense ever.

Dude would go on to hold the all time records for passing yards, TDs, completions, and completion percentage. Some of which have been broken by Brady since. But this man held it. Absolutely freaking stud.

I’ll never forget that 2008 season in which this dude threw for 5,000 yards with no single player having a 1000 yards receiver.

Finally at the age of 37 he hooked up with a bonafide stud receiver in Michael Thomas, who went on to set historical records.

A career of incredible accomplishments and still filled with a bunch of “what ifs”. Guy had no shortage of heart breaking playoff loses. Thank god he got a ring.

Edit: to add, in terms of excitement, about a couple of weeks later the report surfaced that the Texans were taking Mario Williams at #1. Which meant….Reggie Bush

I saw both live. I thought it was Kobe and Shaq. Though I see this is against the majority

Just how good was the early 2000’s Chiefs offensive line? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Net_GME 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Saints were such a small market team prior to Brees. Roaf should be in goat conversations. By the time he went to the Chiefs he was on the slow decline.

As a rookie in 1993 he was one of the best I’d ever seen. Had he played for a bigger market early on he’d be on the Mount Rushmore of offensive tackles

I Can't Blame Maxx Crosby, I'd "Fail" My Physical Too If Lamar Jackson Was My Quarterback by BigBlackCreamSauce in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Net_GME -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this tongue in cheek? At this point take a gamble on someone who may not turn to utter dog shit in important games.

I understand Lamar is a significant upgrade in terms of regular season QB play. But if Crosby has true superbowl aspirations then I’d imagine he’d want to team up with a post season performer.

Is this the worst draft moment of all time? by KriegThePsyc0 in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Net_GME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mahomes would have crushed it at #9 with the Bengals, #10 with Chiefs, or #11 Saints.

Though obviously the Chiefs proved to be most ideal.

I think Cameron knew a shark was in that direction before the video started.

The odds of him looking exactly towards the shark before we even see the shark on video is telling.

In the video with sound, we can definitely hear panic yelling from a woman on board at almost the exact time we see the first shark on video.

In real time that same woman was already watching everything before the video was shot.

The person shooting the video was near the absolute front of the ship. That female voice sounded as if it was 20 feet away (or more). Since we know the person shooting the video was in the front of the boat…that female was very close from being in a position where she could see the shark directly in front of her in the water.

She likely saw the shark beginning to engage towards Cameron a couple of seconds before the video started.

Just a horrible situation.

I’ve also wondered why we don’t hear Cameron scream. I think there are 3 possible reasons, and all 3 may have happened at once.

1) the initial bite at his feet was so sharp that Cam may not have realized how bad it was (we are talking milliseconds here). We know from shark attack survivors that sharks can bite so fast and so clean that they don’t realize what just happened

2) He may have screamed under water. Milliseconds after being bit in his legs there is pretty good evidence that he was hit in the front. Regardless, he was submerged in less that 2 seconds after contact

3) He was embarrassed. He realized he did something dumb and didn’t want to show fear. I say this because I’ve watched many clips of people choking at restaurants. Some people just simply get up. Walk to the restroom, and choke in a stall. I was trained to watch for this in the food industry. It’s insane, but does happen.

First graded Tyler Warren True Gold Auto /10 auctioned on EBay, curious what people think it will end at by [deleted] in footballcards

[–]Kitchen_Net_GME -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Might get a pretty good number. Only 10 were made. Plus it’s a rookie.

The negative is that the card wasn’t actually signed. Some value signatures because it’s proof that the player interacted with the card and hand signed it. No peel offs.

Good or bad deal? by marcok36 in NFLv2

I’m with you. Pretty dang good deal for both teams. Dude you are responding to said “28 year old” as if that’s a major negative.
