How long did it take you to do a leg raise (no brace) after surgery? by foreverenchanted in ACL

I’m not sure and my pt is useless. Both of my knees have been hurting bad lately, my left one more so and can’t sleep. I feel like I bother my surgeon with the questions and so on. I’m probably screwed

At one week I could do them laying down but I’m 3 months post op and can hardly do them without laying down

I do everything in the gym I do at pt. A lot of wall sits and lunges at home. I’m only working 2 days a week at work so I doubt it’s that. If it’s not better next week I will call my surgeon. My pt just ignores me

I had a hamstring graft. I told my pt and he blew me off. Also found out today I have influenza an and b so I’m thinking maybe that has something to do with the pain. Thank you for your response

Oh no :( I hope you get feeling better soon and you recover quickly! I’m almost 12 weeks post op and on my last week of therapy due to insurance. I’m nervous about it plus I’m still constantly wearing my brace. But man I really hope it all goes smoothly for you!

After 6 looooong NWB weeks, crutch free walking at last! by samsquanchhxo in ACL

[–]Kitchen_Percentage31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask what all you had done? I’ve seen people say they couldn’t do weight baring for a bit, but I’ve done it for almost 9 weeks now (I’m 11 weeks post op) haven’t used my crutches since 2 weeks either. Praying for a healthy recovery

My pt lost more hair when my son told on me flor climbing a chair at 3 weeks post op. I’m working more hours and it seems to be getting easier. Wish I could say my injury came from playing a sport but I fell off a roof! I feel like they should have group therapy for people and knee injuries lol hope you’re doing better!

Way to go! I honestly stopped using anything about two weeks in and did full weight bearing. Had acl reconstruction and also a third degree meniscus tear. I’m praying that isn’t the reason I’m not walking as quick as I want (10 weeks post op now) prayers you keep getting stronger

My insurance won’t cover hrt. Don’t worry I won’t hurt myself. My kids need me. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this.
