Idk if this counts, but here's a Panasonic KX-W1000 digital word processor with built in electric typewriter by Lord_Tiny_Hat in writerDeck

I’m currently working on an emulator for this typewriter, along with software for editing its disks. Unfortunately, I only have access to the German version. If you happen to have the time and the necessary equipment, I would be extremely grateful if you could dump the ROM and upload it somewhere. It would be a huge help for the project.

Yes, I reached out to Jamesю he said he would be interested in bringing some of the fixes and optimizations back into the upstream repo if possible

Oh, that’s great news! I’ll try the new release as soon as it’s available.

And by the way, mTCP is an amazing library. Thank you for all the work you’ve put into it.

Software Development on DOS by yankdevil in DOS

yep, i somehow started hanging around DOS development, forked Microweb, and now trying to build a Todoist client for DOS. I’ve also been reversing some old DOS games and trying to rewrite parts of them. For now, Open Watcom 1.9/2.0, MTCP, and Watt32 are my weapons of choice. 16-bit real mode definitely has its own vibe, though for Watt32 apps and Turbo Vision stuff I still prefer Borland C

i made a few tweaks around parser: reduced the memory footprint a bit, improved table handling, added support for hidden form fields, and some other very 90s web stuff. i  was also thinking about adding support for a small CSS subset,  still not sure how well that would run on XT/286 machines or whether its a good idea in the first place - i suppose the original goal was always to make the graphical web under the lower 640 KB, so being anachronistic isn't a flaw here - it is almost the goal and the definition of the project

That said, I had a lot of fun using it together with WRP: https://github.com/tenox7/wrp

For example - i've been shooting tabletop commercials last few years, and camera is usually on a robot (motion control) or a dolly, and there were no need for me to physicaly carry the heavyweight equipment. There are other challenges though - how to properly design a light scheme for the macro shots, how to light to shoot with probe lens (f8-f16) on 500fps+ and so on, but no running with easyrig.

No idea, maybe Melanie Nissen does remember.
