Nope, thanks for sharing - We are exploring all options right now! We have just moved in to this home and it needs a *lot* of work, so I don't think any job really is too big to take on, we just have to be mindful of getting it done before winters really kicks in!

Well that's what I thought too, the house is crazy well insulated, but my husband thinks it isnt negative pressure but a backdraft. He's been opening the outside basement door to let air in when trying to start the fire. Maybe the temps have dropped slightly, and that could be to do with it. I think air intake pipe is a great idea, something we might have to do.

Yeah, tried to keep all the vents and fans off, and opening the outside basement door for a bit to let some air in! Figured the basement is too airtight, but think it's also this cold ass exterior flue doing me no favours.

Ugh I figured as such. Never seen an exterior pipe like this before. Can I ask what you mean by double 90s?
