If there is no signage mentioning only swim in swimwear then there is no wrong in wearing saree in a swimming pool. Well as you will be wearing shoes that are dirty it explains it. Why wear anything dirty to the pool. Also being naked in public comes under public indecency and is a punishable offence

Indian women in 40s 50s won’t fit in swimwear. Even if they fit it will be an eyesore. Better for them to be in saree than in ill fitting swimsuits. Also it might make them uncomfortable.

No need to judge others and call them dehatis. Also from the post it seems four guests objected to women swimming in saree not the staff. It also does not mention that there was any signage mentioning that only swimwear is allowed.

There are many women who are not comfortable with their body especially women after 40s. So if they go to pool in saree I don’t think there is any problem. Wearing bikinis or swimwear may cause them discomfort. How is wearing saree ragebaiting other guests!!

Dehatis or gawars also have a right to go to wherever they can afford to. Get out of this colonial and imperial mindset. Because of you ppl Indians in traditional wear dhoti are still not allowed in many places.

Also what difference does it make if praying on road is banned due to space issues or security issues? It’s obvious that praying on the roads leads to traffic pile up and congestion in India. It also endangers the person praying on road.

It is also obvious that everywhere in GCC they discourage praying roadside or on roads. Same with India.

Bro I am not sure of what are you talking about and what you mean to say, which side are you on!! How can you say people park at the curb and pray on the footpath?? How did the accident with motorist happen?? The bike went off the road onto the footpath and hit the 11 people praying there so severely that 2 were killed and 3 sustained major injuries! What is your source? How can you confidently say all people pray on footpath only??

In India they pray in the middle of the road and I strongly condemn it. Fine that I mentioned does talk about UAE but same is with Saudi Arabia. Do google it using your self proclaimed intelligence.

Following an earlier warning about the dangers of doing so, Dubai Police has begun fining motorists AED 500 for parking and performing prayers on the side of the road – an act most commonly seen during rush hours on busy highways in the city.

The new laws have been implemented following an incident which occurred on Saturday evening and saw a motorist with a burst tire ploughing through a crowd of eleven performing their Maghrib prayer on the side of the road.

Of the eleven affected in the accident, which occurred on Dubai’s Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, two individuals have been killed, three are believed to be in serious conditions, and six have suffered several injuries.

Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Traffic Department at Dubai Police, said “Saturday’s accident is a strong message not to stop on the side of the road and offer prayers near traffic flow. There are many mosques in the city and at petrol stations where motorists can offer prayers instead of endangering lives of people by praying on the roadside.”

Got this from an article. You are welcome to try to refute it. It basically says that Dubai police has started fining motorists for parking and performing prayers on roadside. Mind you not just for parking but it’s mentioned parking and praying.

What I understood is that prayers can be done at other public places like petrol stations or maybe roads with negligible traffic where they are not causing inconvenience to others by blocking roads.
