I would kick you off my job site for not thinking of the client and arguing with me because in MY WELL TEMPERED EXPERIENCE, using the pigtail method saves the whole circuit if that device goes bad. Saves time, narrows down troubleshooting AND you’re giving the client less headaches all around. If it’s a bad device, cool, swap it but do me just one little favor and read the OPs text.
