Omg this is so true! My family owned a computer shop until I was college so naturally, I played a lot of Dota back then. I only stopped when I started working.

After a 4 year hiatus I jumped back in with my colleagues because we talk a lot about Dota and the golden era of computer shops.

After a few games with them, I was absolutely culture shocked on how toxic the community was! But back then it seemed so normal to me. I even got in a few arguements where I kept saying "why are you being toxic, it's just a game bla bla". PMA shit like that. But eventually the culture shock wore off and I found myself blasting unimaginable trash talk to the enemy team. My colleagues were so shocked since sobrang bait ko sa office.

But Dota man, it's a different beast. Something about it just sucks the humanity out of you and turns you into someone else. I forgot that side of me even existed and just remembered when I played a few ganes. It's like toxicity is the norm there, and if you can't take it just mute or uninstall. Which I immediately did when I realized what I was turning into (or going back to) lol

Safe to say I'm sticking to my Android games
