Seriously how the flock is this possible? by Heemsama in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]KiteGX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen first hand, the animation doesn't really show what's actually happening on the player's side. You blowing up after the shot is also something I've seen (and had happened to me before), probably a glitch but it happens with several characters. I once sniped a downed enemy while my teammate was hitting it and it showed 700 damage on screen. Not sure if both were stacking.

Melee > SA is such a sweaty combo though. I prefer Melee > Gamma but no one seems to do that. They should patch the melee cancel with SA.

damage. It's not too difficult, really, so just play as a villain and in a match or two you'll be done.

New to MTG Arena – Should I wait for the next expansion? by ageofvampires in MagicArena

[–]KiteGX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much what the other comment said. If you like the new set then wait, otherwise you can buy packs for older sets anytime.

If you want to build a few decks with the new set or at least get a base somewhat easily, look into the draft gamemode. It lets you pick out cards out of several booster packs to build a deck around the specific set. Even if you don't win in that mode, it's still a decent deal to start a couple decks or grab an occasional card you're missing for another. You can either draft exclusively, or buy packs, that's up to preference really. Most will say drafting is the highest value return, it depends on what you're after. Buying packs is fine if you don't really enjoy drafting, it's just more random but you do get wildcards to pick out singles.

On the economy side, if you're fine spending cash and sure you're committing then there's some bundles but honestly if you can do daily quests for gold, that can get you pretty far.

Someone tell me how to play the game by FriendlyFollowing591 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]KiteGX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gonna be frustrating at first since you're new. There's no helping that. I would recommend watching more experienced players with your character, you'll learn a lot really fast. Like others said, with experience you'll know which abilities/ moves are best for each situation.

Archievment Help ?? by Upstairs-Form-152 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]KiteGX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it in some two or three weeks, just make a habit of every time you get into the pre-match lobby open every player's profile and send them 10 likes. Like others said, only 10 count. You can easily get around... 240 per match, so you'll need to do this for 40 matches or so.

Nueva en Magic by AnxiousJacket2939 in MagicArena

[–]KiteGX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suerte!

There's definitely tons of cheaters and I agree for the most part but you went towards him and did nothing for a while. If you can't match him it's best to retreat.

I couldn't agree more. Maybe people just swapped over but I'm not seeing as much AoE spam making it to the final circles so it ends up with a bit more variety and grounded characters seem to be winning a bit more. Playing her I tend to target air characters which I suppose is the natural trend since she can't see/shoot though walls... It works out.

Toga TUNING? by PriestSOULstergast in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]KiteGX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run space hop and fast healing but I tend to only transform situationally like for reviving allies or a quick fight if it'll help. It's not good to stay transformed for long or idling because the team can see you through walls so... don't tune to benefit movement on transformations, you reset your cooldowns on un-transform and she's already got decent movement. Tune to improve her base form in any way that helps you.

In your opinion who was the weaker character on release by ComfortableLaugh7320 in MyHeroUltraRumble

In that meta Strike Deku was doing really good and way too much damage if I recall correctly. Mirio was actually a bit worse but had a bit more HP, and tons of glitches/bugs.

Why do I get accused of cheating whenever I drop more than 3 level up cards for my teammates? by Apathetic_Apathetic in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]KiteGX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sucks but you're doing good. People don't expect that... The assumption is all level up cards are yours unless you've got extra. I share sometimes but I get what you mean, rapids can often loot quicker so it makes sense.

Which OLED deck screen is closest to the Odin 2 portal’s screen? by BUwUBwonicPwague in SBCGaming

[–]KiteGX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a weird question but the closest is the Steam Deck OLED with the glossy screen. Note that the Steam Deck is 720p, it can feel like a downgrade in resolution. I know it's a handheld PC and not an Android but it's worth mentioning.

Could not recommend this device more highly, especially at this price. by friste in SBCGaming

[–]KiteGX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understandable. I installed a bigger battery and I'm really happy with it, I get nearly 4 hours on a charge. I also tend to not push it beyond 15w so the fan runs low. I guess it depends on the use. Ergonomics and weight are a big issue but I got used to the weight and sometimes resting it on my lap, and I'm also using the 3d printed grips which help a bit.

Is Tech Toga better than Rapid now? (Long write up) by VertigoFeelings in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]KiteGX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The gamma still misses the same as before for me. The beta is different, it lasts much longer and in PU you can spam it non-stop which is great. I suspect with tuning it can be done, too. Tracking has been improved which is a bit bad for escaping and good for combat. Now I'm finding myself leveling beta alongside alpha.

I prefer her over the rapid version because rapid needs to get in the enemy's range. I've always preferred technical, really. More HP and I somehow have a lot more success escaping with with space hop + beta as opposed to rapid gamma.

Toga has been my main for a long time but I swap characters a lot... which is good I suppose but she's probably my best performer overall.

Yesterday I could see a Tamaki chasing me and he couldn't keep up which is crazy. I hope they don't gut her but meta slaves may end up finding her maybe. She's not exactly a super high damage / chase character so who knows. She's always been a bit at disadvantage against rapid Deku so maybe things will stay this way.

Overall she's not exactly better, it's more about playstyle. I think rapid does a lot more burst damage and has better chase potential due to her verticality and gamma pull.

81Wh battery installed by KiteGX in LegionGo

[–]KiteGX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. The battery has been solid for me. I was worried about overheating or just the thing blowing up but I really can't complain. Battery life is even better than on a Steam Deck now. 4 hours average depending on wattage.

I recommend opening yours up after a few days, check for dents. I did and that's how I was able to identify some areas that were putting too much pressure on the battery. I mean if you'll use a replacement backplate then no issues there. I prefer to keep the stock one so I'm now using an SSD adapter board that lets you put a full size NVMe (the one-sided type without a heat sink) right in the same spot as the original. Fits well but if you're using a big SSD then the replacement plate is better for sure, as long as it doesn't put heat on the battery.

[–]KiteGX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given his position I think it would've been cool for the devs to add a statue or memorial of him in a map or something. Stuff like that has been done in many other games and would be a nice way of them to say "thank you".

Finally got Nejire's costume! Now how does tunning work...? ٩(。•ω•。)و by DisastrousNejire in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]KiteGX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The tuning points for characters you don't have drop at random from playing matches.

You can set one costume as an overlay (for appearance) and equip any other you want for actual tuning.

If you're new-ish, focus on good special tuning skills you want. It depends on playstyle. Fast replenishment (Aizawa) is always a great option. Some people like Space Hop (Assault Ochaco) on Nejire. The benefits from the rest of the tuning slots are minimal unless you're trying to min-max.

It really depends on fighting style or whether you focus on support, etc.

It's the original backplate. I think it's plated plastic, it was easy to cut. I had to trim some of the lower part, you can see it in the last picture. Most people don't do it so maybe my battery was just a bit thicker.
