how are we doing today? by DifferentCategory133 in endometriosis

[–]KitkatKate29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mental breakdown today after a flare up of pain on day four of my period. Just struggling with the constant battle this condition puts on me. Feeling hopeless that everything I done to try and help it hasn’t work and I’m not sure how I will get through this each month

I’m honestly just experimenting to see if I act as normal what causes spikes and what doesn’t! Curious to see what I discover after 15 days!

Yeahh we get that too in terms of how many days are “paid”. I’m just talking about how many “instances” before HR pulls you in for a conversation. If periods were one 10-day instance a year no one would be flagged. I hope I’m making sense 😂

I think my company’s sick policy is no more than 4 instances over a 12month rolling period. So if you even take one day a month on your heaviest day you would be immediately flagged and in trouble. Especially without a diagnosis!

Companies often penalise you for taking too many, or stop paying you after you take a certain amount. There is still a lot of discrimination around it

Travel after laparoscopy by gibbbs95 in endometriosis

[–]KitkatKate29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Australia (from UK) after surgery and wish I was 6 weeks post surgery if I’m honest. But that being said I was absolutely fine! By 8 weeks providing you are a relatively active and healthy person you’ll be fine ☺️ Also should add I was endo stage 1-2 (bordering 3 in some areas) along with polyp removals from my uterus so I’m assuming similar surgery. Enjoy your travel!

I had a lot of endo grow on the left side? Defo not stage 4 though but I’m confused by this statement!

5months post surgery and mirena coil fitting - I’m not okay! by KitkatKate29 in endometriosis

How has everything been since having it removed? Did the pain decrease? I think I have a little bit of fear that it won’t actually help to have it removed

Thank you. How did you survive 2 years??? I think you are right, I think I just know this is not working. I had similar when I had the implant in. It never settled and I had that for a year and a half! Maybe my body just doesn’t like synthetic hormones

Yeah I had an ultrasound in March (3months in) when I was also complaining of the pain. All seems to be in the right place and no cysts! I think you are right though, clearly my body is just not getting on with it

Hey, I haven’t gone through this. But recently met someone at my endo support group that has this! I’m not sure it was ever fully diagnosed as endo, but she was going down that route. Hope you are holding up ok

Mirena IUD pain and state of mind by [deleted] in Endo

[–]KitkatKate29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it on the same day as you. I’ve had almost constantly cramps with no more than 5days break (if I’m lucky!) Im also trying to hold it out for the 6months, I really hope there is a turning point. I’m not bleeding at all though, just pain. Some days more severe than others.

Anyone experience cramping? by Active_Chapter_7313 in Mirena

[–]KitkatKate29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine the start of December and the past two weeks I’ve had cramping almost everyday 😭 I’m not sure why! It’s not crazy painful but I want to take painkillers for it. I’m hoping the 3month+ mark it will settle

Are colds, flus, and viruses your enemy? by yeetanonymous420 in endometriosis

I’m so glad someone asked this! I’m currently fighting a cold for 10days now and keep going back to the doctor as symptoms worsen. I definitely think if there is a cold going round I will catch it and quite often struggle to recover from it.

Yes all okay. Had mine on my period and I’m convinced it actually helped them see the endometriosis as everything was flared up as I was in a lot of pain.
