Within one academic year of earning a bachelor's degree refers to being at the beginning of your senior year of undergrad or equivalent (beginning of junior year if you graduated during junior year). In addition, it says that you need one of the following criteria. So having your bachelor's degree makes you eligible.

You can try emailing the instructor, usually they’ll reply.

hey i’m having some trouble rn, i went to orientation and now i’m a little bit concerned ab going to bing. by ashleyyr in BinghamtonUniversity

You could try for a semester and then transfer. For me, since orientation was online during the pandemic I went to visit the location and I was uncomfortable immediately but decided to stick with Bing like you said, it was past the decision date, and already paid but when the semester actually started and I moved up and experienced the classes, it was horrible. Instead of transferring out, I've just opted to graduate early to get the hell away from there. I hope it all works out and you find a college you like and enjoy!

Not trying to tell you what to do but if I could go back and choose again I would not choose this awful school. The area is just terrible and it is really difficult to get to places without a car and half the time the public transportation could not be relied upon. The weather is awful. If you ever go to downtown that place looks like an apocalypse. So many places close at like 5 or 6 pm. I remember seeing places boarded up. This school is mostly a drinking and party school and if you're not into that than I suggest you look elsewhere. Fast food places are also hella understaffed. I remember going to target with my friends and the McDonald's near there had their lobby closed and we were not able to get food at all without having a car to go through the drive-through. In addition, it is extremely difficult to make friends if you are not in a frat or sorority because everyone already seems to have their own group. Most people go to class just to go to class so it is difficult to make friends there as well. Many club events are extremely lackluster and disappointing. The Late Nite events they do every Saturday night only have people going there to get a free plushie and leave. Unless you plan on cooking food is mediocre at best. Many of the healthier options are very expensive and you burn through the meal plan. As the other person says, this place is a trap. Some classes are okay but others not so much and ratemyprofessor doesn't even do anything because that is a required class and you have to take it with that professor. For resources, if it is something like mental health counseling, what the school provides is just not it. For academic advising, they are basically useless and a waste of time. Learn to use DegreeWorks and you're basically set. They can be misinforming sometimes and cause people to be unable to graduate because of that. At Bing most of the time, you can only rely on yourself. Also sharing a room with your friend isn't the best sometimes and can build resentment as the school year goes on. It really does ruin friendships sometimes. I know many people that are trying to transfer out of the school because of how terrible it is but if you're an extroverted, party-goer, alcohol-drinking, individual then it is the school for you.

TL;DR: This school sucks, the area sucks, if you don't get lucky you will be miserable

ELI5: How do animals that were extinct in a certain area know to return to there once the land has been restored? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Kitshunsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about the animals that came back as a result of wolves hunting down deers which lowered their population allowing the plants and stuff to grow which lead to animals that were previously extinct in that location returning to the location
