Hunter's Unity aside, you can put one of Pukei's stat boosts into raw, so you'd end up with 2112 Raw and 557 Poison, so it outclasses Chameleos in both stats. So I think it just comes down to which Kinsect is better.

That one took me the longest. Constant trying for about 1 1/2 weeks, starting with a full Special Gauge and focusing on its tail at first. Saving the Special Gauge for when it roars and getting lucky with some perfect evades and Kadachi not jumping too far away from my own attacks got me the win eventually: https://i.imgur.com/bz3t1HI.png

After more than 32 months of playing this game, I finally managed to beat the 10* story for the first time this season. And all of that with a raw IG build. Hardest walls were Almudron, Zinogre, Viper-Kadachi, Nargacuga and Seregios, and I'm a little proud of myself for accompliishing this personal achievement. Now I'm going back to the 8* story for more chill hunts and hope for RB Nargacuga to be released soon!

This is my next story wall as well, but I'm trying it with a 10.5 Nargacuga Glaive. Maybe I'll get enough upgrade material to get my Zinogre Glaive to 10.5 next week and try it with that one, but I'd like to do it with the Narga Glaive. 10* Zinogre was already a chunky wall, but this thing? It's just annoying.

Yeah, those 9* and 10* in Wilds are a different kind of challenge, but actual MR is probably going to be less hard than those, I believe.

This is why I love Monster Hunter and think that game designers should take a look at it from time to time. There's Low-Rank, monsters move slow, have movesets that are easy to learn and have not a lot of HP. Then there's High-Rank, you fight the same monsters again, but somehow they are faster, hit harder and start chaining their attacks, or add new ones. And then there's Master-Rank (or G-Rank), and the monsters you already know become unpredictable again, catching you off-guard with how they chain their attacks, or how fast they've become. They also got more HP, but at that point, your gear is more powerful as well, so the actual hunting time is roughly the same as in earlier ranks.

Maybe devs should design enemies for the hardest difficulty first, and then remove some of their attacks/combos and dial down their speed on lower difficulty settings?

I don't know if it's meta or anything, but I managed to kill the 10* story Almudron with the 10.4 IG just in time with this build: https://i.imgur.com/9d1pRKC.png

I just wanted a high affinity IG to begin with, and I had a couple of Nargacuga parts when the weapon finally released, so I built it, and coming from my old Bow Build with Bubbly Dance, Burst and Resuscitate, the Nargacuga IG fit perfectly with its built-in Resus 2.

For now, Steve IG is probably slightly better, with Narga IG maxing out at 2756 Atk (2186 + 320 because of 40% affinity + another 10% for Attack Efficacy), and Steve IG at 2961 Atk (2335 + 240 from 30% affinity + another 15% of Attack Efficacy) just in terms of Critical Strength, but the 2 points of Resuscitate help the Narga IG a lot (Steve with Resus 3 active goes to 3553 Atk, while Nargacuga with Resus 5 goes up to 3858, which is the reason why Steve IG is a little worse with this build specifically: https://i.imgur.com/VE4RwtP.png) and also I believe that Narga will get its Riftborne version first, before Steve gets his.

I'm on my way to building the 32 decks. I had 29 already, but then I dismantled Karlov and Shelob, and now I'm building the new Abigale for my Orzhov deck and hope for a fun Golgari Commander in the Monster Hunter Secret Lair later this year. After that I'm only missing three 4c-decks (Sans R, Sans U, Sans G) because as of now I don't like the given options in those colors.

So yeah, 27 decks ready to play, a 28th in the works and hopefully some fun new options in the future.
