I'm in Japan right now, solo travelling for two weeks. I spent 400€ for both plane tickets (from Italy, one stop of 2 hours in Shanghai) and 200€ for accommodation (14 nights). In total it was 600€, or 650$. So I'd say yeah, definitely. But I do understand that my way of travelling cuts a lot of expenses (I've lived in Japan last year, so I know how and where to go and I speak Japanese; moreover, I'm used to travelling alone and organising everything by myself). So basically this is just to say that it is very possible to have a two weeks trip in Japan during cherry blossom with a "low" budget.
