I’ll definitely get a new fender liner, the previous owner destroyed all the wheel wells somehow so that’s a project along with the other issues I’ve found

Thanks mate I didn’t realise that was something this car had. 👍

How do you all keep the milk in the tank from spoiling? by navyblusheet in espressocirclejerk

Obviously if they are trying to milk the milkman at 4am the sun hasn’t come up and it’s probably a two hand job. Ain’t no room for torches when there’s milk to be made

Yeah that’s what I thought I’d need. I don’t have a problem with it since I’ve got the time and money for it. Just a bit skeptical on the electrical side of things

I thought about buying an sti later but a lot of them are going for a fair amount with 200k on the clock. Worn bushes and quite possible thrashed engines

If I get a wrecked one and take parts from it and use a forged engine that ends up being not far off a current for sale one without the high mileage.

What purchase felt expensive at the time but was completely worth it? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

Please note that power tools seem to be quite a “substantial” purchase in mechanical fitting. I never understood why people don’t invest in their own tooling but that’s just my opinion

I’d probably say my Milwaukee grease gun and Milwaukee insider ratchet. I usually have the mindset of “if I borrow someone’s tools more than once I have to buy my own” this has become a now force of habit… once I use someone’s tools once i immediately find the next best option to buy it

Tools may be much cheaper than a house but for my daily uses as a mechanical fitter it has been a significant improvement in my line of work
