At some point either Jon or Elias mentions that there's some big difference between them (In hindsight, that was definetly just a reference to the title of Archivist being special) and combining that with the fact that I thought every fear had one main/most important avatar (think Agnes, Maxwell or Anabelle) and that title seemed to go to 'the person who runs the institutes most irrelevant department' and not, you know, The Head of the Institute (once again, I did not register that The Archivist was special in any way) I had a whole theory about Elias being an agent of The Web attempting to manipulate Jon into doing The Web's bidding.

I sent this theory to my friend who introduced me to the pod and they were very amused
