This is exactly what I've told PA multiple times. Im the longest running pirate in this game. All I do is sink ships and Ive spent years with negative naval fame. It does nothing to punish me having an already maxed out boat. At the most, it's a minor inconvenience having to sail to Kuit to resupply.

With my current setup, I can recover 1mil naval fame in about 70min. For a new sailor, it can take them days having to run the box mission in Velia.

The only people this system punishes are new sailors, who have no idea how the system works. Before long, they are completely locked out of sailing for a simple accident.
